ROH Champion Recieves WWE Offer

After what was said to have been a great evaluation tryout in Deep South Wrestling a few weeks back, PWInsider.com has confirmed that ROH Tag Team champion Claudio Castagnoli has received a WWE developmental offer.

Claudio's got the right look for WWE and plenty of talent.  Sadly, though, he's Swiss and WWE seems to subscribe to the old Russo maxim "foreigners can't draw."  (Or maybe its Foreigner can't draw, which could be even more stupid, but I digress).  Plus, with that 'stache, he has Val Venis's new Tag Team partner written all over him.  Can't blame him for going, if he chooses, but, personally, I'd love to keep him in ROH.
