Smackdown TV Spoilers for 5/26 - UPDATE!

UPDATE:

There were a few people sending out bogus spoilers from last night's Smackdown taping (don't ask me why people have nothing better to do than that). Elite member Jared Cheeseman sent this report, which is accurate.

Velocity:

Matt Hardy beat Sylvan.

Gunner Scott beat a jobber.

Gregory Helms beat a jobber.

Kid Kash and Jamie Noble, doing their Pitbull gimmick, beat Scotty 2 Hotty and Funaki.

Smackdown:

Lashley beat JBL to win US Title.

Tatanka beat Simon Dean.

Mark Henry beat Chris Benoit, then destroyed him after the match.

Brian Kendrick and Paul London beat Nunzio and Vito.

Finlay beat Paul Burchill, then Shortstack (the midget wrestler) showed up.

Rey Mysterio beat JBL to retain the World Title.

When Paul Heyman was shown there, there was mostly no reaction, except for me. I marked out big time.

The coronation for Booker T was great as well.

I got there at the beginning of Smackdown so I caught the end of Velocity, arena was no where close to sold out.

Smackdown

Booker T gets his crown and rambles on and Sharmell talks too much and is very ANNOYING, they both stay at ringside and watch the match from their chairs.

Lashley beats JBL for the US Title despite interference from Booker T

Lashley challenges Booker T to a match next week, Booker T agrees if the US title is on the line

Teddy Long announces Mark Henry taking on Rey Mysterio for the main event

Paul London and Brian Kendrick beat Kid Kash and Jamie Noble

Paul Heyman comes out and promotes One Night Stand which brings out Finlay who attempts to attack Paul Heyman but Chris Benoit comes to the rescue only to get pummeled by Finlay and a short guy. Finlay beat the crap out of Benoit with the stick he carries to the ring.

Great Khali defeats Matt Hardy in a very quick match (Hardy got the biggest pop of the night)

Tatanka defeats someone announced from Bakersfield

Rappers come out to a lot of boos and Mark Henry comes out and challenges Rey Mysterio. Not a bad match at all, Chavo Guerrero pushes Rey Mysterio off the ropes and Mysterio loses to Mark Henry with a big splash. Mark Henry left with the World Title belt. The crowd was a little confused because it was not announced as a title match and when the bell rang, they only announced Mark Henry as the winner and he grabbed the belt. Big celebration for Mark Henry with the rappers.

i swear to god, if Mark Henry IS world champ because of this.

Remember, Acadamey Award winning rappers, the 3 6 Mafia was supposed to perform Mark Henry's new theme song on Smackdown.  it's on the new WWE cd, which got released this week, so it makes sense for them to perform to hype the cd.

As for Mark Henry, I think the WWE writers were really bored (or drunk, take your pick) and started watching TNA this past month for ideas and decided to use the Abyss steals NWA World Title because he thinks he's the real champion plot.

Well thing look 100% disappointing right now. Although I will not stop watching SD, or WWE, if all this is true I will not be very happy and I won't mind so much if I miss a SD from that point on. My guess is Henry is not champ but WWE "creative", and I use that loosely, is stealing TNA's recent storyline of Abyss taking the title from Christian.

he probably sold the belt at a pawn shop for some money so he could buy an Old Country Buffer

Was thinking the same. Thats an old thing the WWE used many times in the past.

WWE.com is reporting that Funaki was knocked out for two minutes during his match last night, which was taped for Velocity.  He suffered a Grade Two concussion, but will make a full recovery.

These spotlers bring great news for my WWE Fantasy, except that **** Main Event! Why on God's green earth would Chavo do that to Rey, and why on earth would he help Mark Henry. I would have loved to see Mysterio beat the worlds strongest man, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.......

Chavos not the only one. Typical storyline for WWE, surprised didnt wait for Angle to wrestle for title. At least have a good champ that way.

Wow. My friend was planning on going this event, but could'nt because it's on a school night. I've got a feeling that I'm not gonna like the storyline that is being set up between Rey & Chavo.

Most of that sounds a lot better then the stuff before.

Dark match? since JBL lost to Lashley, he's wrestling again. Stinks to be him too, losing the US champ then the chance at the WHC. About time Lashley win something, surprised they didnt find him a tag partnet and go after those titles.

That is exactly what I thought when I read that part.  I will say that he is probably the perfect person to kiss Vince's ass and thus he will feud with HBK being anti D-X.

In regards to fantasy: I got a lot of points, I just wish I had Lashley :(. I didn't think he would get the US title this quickly.
