It's surreal. I won't be able to grasp the fact that he's gone for quite a while.

Since I started watching just three years ago in 2008, Edge was the first heel that I liked. I closely followed his career, bought his DVD set, etc.

Over the past few years, I became less of a fan, but he's still provided MANY notable mark-out moments (his return at Survivor Series 2008, his return at the Royal Rumble) and still puts on great matches from time to time (vs. Jeff at Extreme Rules 2009, vs. Jericho at WM 26 and Extreme Rules 2010).

Edge will be missed.

Top Edge matches, included him and Christian vs Hardy Boyz at No Mercy in that classic T.I.T. tournament Ladder match, Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero, Edge and Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle in the classic 2 out of 3 Falls for the Tag Team Championship, and countless others.

Yep. Many of their backstage antics and many ladder and TLC matches.

My personal favorite probably being Hardys vs. E&C at No Mercy in a tag team ladder match.

Sam, you should go out of your way to find Edge and Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit, 2 out of 3 Falls match on Smackdown! That was one of my all time favorite matches.

My favorite Edge moment.

I don't really know why. I was always a fan of the Ultimate Opportunist gimmick he had, and when he came out I just freaked out with excitement. The best part was that all the fans in attendance bought that it was Jeff Hardy. Perfect.

I've heard nothing but good things about the old SD tag matches with those four, and I'll try hunting down this one.

I'm with you. That match does seem to get unfortunately overlooked. I suppose that's one of the unfortunate aspects of the PG twist in that it doesn't get the highlights it deserves from WWE

You know what's interesting... it's being said that Edge hasn't really been feeling too great for awhile now and yet... his match quality has really been good. It was a little bit weak on his return last year, but he's definitely gotten back into the flow of things and has had some great matches... especially with Jericho. Amazing, amazing athlete. Good bye Edge...

Favorite match would have to be:

Edge & Christian vs. The Hardy Boys vs. The Dudley Boys in a TLC Match (Summer Slam 2000)

I feel like **** for not watching him on Smackdown for sometime now. I just don't watch Smackdown anymore.

It's been a good run.

Don't let the "omg he's retiring" affect make you think otherwise that Edge hasn't been good at all since returning last year.

He has had some good matches, but nothing better than what has been on Superstars (btw, THE wrestling show).

Probably off the radar, but one of my favorite Edge matches was his match against RVD for the WWE Title at Vengeance 06. I just love that match.

I've often wondered what would have happened to Edge had he not gotten hurt in 2003. I really think he was really close to breaking through as a face and would have made for a great opponent for Brock when he (Brock) inevitably turned heel.

Edge's matches with Angle are pretty underrated.

Edge seems to be one of the last of the dying breed of guys that worked their way up the card. These days, it seems like if the WWE likes you and you're remotely over, they hotshot you to the main event... or bury the **** out of you. One of the main reasons I think people responded to Edge the way they did when he won the belt is that we grew up watching Edge work his way up the card. It created a connection that you can't force. I think me and people like me felt the same way about Bret, in a way.

Speaking of they don't do things like they used to, watch Edge vs Owen from Breakdown 98.

I also give Edge a lot of credit for changing my opinion on John Cena. I think he has to be Cena's best opponent.

Well... now it's Christian's turn... hopefully. I'm hoping he replaces Edge in the main event at Extreme Rules... he's the only top face left on Smackdown, unless Undertaker comes back.

First time i started watching wrestling was at around the time when wwe bought wcw and when i started watching wrestling thats when i saw edge and christian.

Edge has been one of my favorite wrestlers throughout all of these years and it was really great to watch him perform all of these years from the goofy guy doing the 5 second pose with christian to the sadistic guy who got kicked in the face by shawn michaels at elimination chamber to the guy ive watched the past few months it was alot of fun watching edge.

its been a hell of a ride

Thank You Edge

I'm still in shock. This may sound a bit pathetic, but just imagining the next Raw or next week's Smackdown, and knowing Edge won't be there anymore is extremely depressing. I can't even fathom how he must feel. The article on WWE.com says he will never be cleared to wrestle for the WWE again. This sucks. I'm going to cry on Friday.

That's too bad he's forced to retire due to injury. He's always been a consistent performer. There's not too many negative things you could say about his career. He was right when he said we watched him grow up before our eyes with his gimmick changes and ascension up the ladder to the top.

One moment I'll always remember about Edge occurs on that 3 disc Ladder match DVD. Its a TLC match at Unforgiven in Toronto against Cena, with Edge as the defending champion. During the introductions you can see Edge become visibly emotional. JR even points it out on commentary that here's this guy, in his hometown, as the reigning WWE Champion, and that he's basically realizing his childhood dream at that very moment. I just thought it was a cool thing to see, a sense of reality amongst all the acting.

The idea is post to be that there will be a new generation of stars. After Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, there was Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. After Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, there was Steve Austin and The Rock. After Steve Austin and The Rock, there was John Cena.

Now, who that will be, remains to be seen.

He was my favorite wrestler. He was the main reason I watched Smackdown. Now with Edge gone, what do I have to look forward to?

Anyways, I first saw Edge back when he was with "La Familia" in 2007. I hated him at first, but due to knowing that he works way better as a heel, I loved him. The match with him and Undertaker at Summerslam solified my love for him. A couple of matches seen at Wrestlemania, and the rest is history.

My Most favorite moment is when he Cashed in the MITB on Cena. :D

Also I loved the Foley Vs. Edge match at WM22.

I think we will see him again in the HOF, and I think he may just become like a Legend in his own right, the Rated R-Superstar, will be truly missed in the WWE, and I think Edge will forever be a great Wrestler but I hope Edge does come back every once in a while just to say Hi. :)

Thank you Edgester. :D

Hulk Hogan, you are a giant piece of s***:

From Hogan's Twitter

HulkHogan4Real Hulk Hogan @jays712 if any of the guys like me,Flair,Hardy,Andre,AA,Blanchard, orndoff,Henning would have listened to doctors we would have quit15yrsago

HulkHogan4Real Hulk Hogan @jays712 but I don't know Edges working environment because they are a media company not a wrestling company. HH wrestlers work hurt!

Yeah, damn Edge for actually wanting to function as a human being 5-10 years down the road. Interesting that he brought up Hennig too since painkillers contributed to his death.
