At the beginning of the face to face HBK was tearing Hogan a new one but Hogan sure turned it around fast. Poor Lawler. :lol:

It was a good ending to a pretty much lackluster RAW. I guess I'd rate it as a high 5, maybe a low 6.

i think the only reason we dont like Raw so much right now is becasue HHH isnt main eventing everything. We have been used to Hunter ending the show with whatever he does, but now that hes not, we miss it without realizing it. Well at leastr me, i dont know about u, but i think the sooner HHH returns, the better.Dark_Hylian8

Here is my rant on the show this week:

Ok, a pretty bad show IMO, but not a horrible one. WWE stated they'd be in Montreal next week. Either Bret Hart will show up in a segment with Shawn Michaels & Hulk Hogan, or will be there to announce his position in the Summerslam match in my opinion.

The show started off with the Eugene Invitational, which was really confusing. Eugene won, however what a predictable end to this promo: Kurt Angle requested and got his Summer Slam match for the gold medal.

We then saw the worst match in Monday Night Raw history: Gene Snitsky, and Shelton Benjamin. Why can't this guy deliver anymore? Someone please answer me this, whatever happened to Shelton? Seriously, this guy needs either a break, or some serious talk.

Something about Big Vis and Rob Conway. I seriously want the King fired. He admitted he takes viagra in this segment. I know there's not much wrong with it and that a lot of old people do, it's just we don't need to know these OH-SO-IMPORTANT things...

We then saw some Edge promo'age, showing totally nothing in this guy. A waste of 5 minutes in my opinion. It was really just pointless. The only thing I found interesting is that all 3 of these men that once had long hair cut it: Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy and now Edge. What the hell is up with these hairdos?

I think this was before something but oh well: There was a match between Rosey, The Hurricane and Stacey facing Victoriam and the heart-throbs. This was *clearly* all about the divas. No, I'm not talking about Antonio and Romeo, I'm talking about Victoria and Super-Stacey (wtf). They will clearly have a match at Summer Slam... These two didn't even get to see any action in a match. WWE: I beg of you... Bring back the Women's title, it's like Trish is guarding it with her injury. At least strip her of it. God. I've been waiting to see these divas wrestle for a while now.

After this was indeed the 250,000$ segment where Crystal got eliminated. I found this pretty damn pointless, as it was just on the titantron that the fans saw things, and all they got was them dancing. Seriously, the WWE thinks we are perverts...

Anyhow, we also saw a Matt Hardy and Gene Snitsky match. I found this one interesting with the way the story happened with Gene Snitsky's debut... Kind of makes ya wonder how it'll all turn out. But seeing as how Kane is a face and Gene just doesn't fit the bill, Edge gets to face Hardy in this storyline. God, I feel bad for Lita. We also saw Edge attack Hardy at the end of this match.

At the *almost* end of the night, we got to see John Cena's rap video. Not bad, but could've been done better with the comparisons to his childhood. All-in-all it's not bad, but not good either. Not as repetitive as Bad, Bad Man though, so: Good on ya, John.

Hogan face-to-face with Shawn Michaels wasn't that bad. I actually hate the white version of the tights, but ANYWAYS, I loved it when he super-kicked King. I hate him now, I don't know why. King I mean. Hogan, I still have a bit of a problem with and I see it in his eyes. He actually made me LOVE Shawn Michaels. I'm glad Shawn Michaels is barely in his after-prime, though, that's still good. Hopefully a Bret Hart type thing will happen next week in Montreal!

Oh I definately agree with you there. When I heard that he would be taking some time off from televised appearances I knew that the shows would be fairly mediocre for the most part. There are very few talents who can make whatever storyline or match they are doing and make it interesting on a consistent basis. My top three current wrestlers who can do this are HHH, Kurt Angle, and HBK.

Yeah I think the Angle vs Eugene match seemed a little off. I thought that Eugene hitting the ref then blaming Kurt was hilarious though.

Seriously though Shelton has really fallen on bad times or something. At first I thought it might just have been some kind of slick angle they were working on with him goofing on his moves.

I actually thought Edge's rant there was very emotional compared to Matt's last week which seemed quite wooden. But I've always thought that Matt had mediocre mic skills anyway.

Please bring back Trish!

The face to face was good but Hogan looks very old and slow now when wrestling. I'm also really hoping to see Bret next week, that will blow the roof off the place.

I found it very middle of the road RAW this week.

Raw's problem is not that Triple H is not around, the problem is that the writing has just plain sucked! If you put Triple H in Y2J's role in a feud with Cena, but kept the writing the same, it would still suck just as bad, if not worse. Writing has, will, and by the looks of thing, will continue to suck and drag down both shows.

The rest of the show is pretty bad. Shelton obviously offended someone on the writing team, because he jobs out to Masters... again. Conway vs Viscera, enough said. Not much wrestling, again. Carlito and the IC Title get crapped on... again. The Eugene Invitational was disappointing and had a terrible conclusion. The only good thing is the crowd reactions to Angle and Eugene.

That's very sad. IMO, I think the IC title should have become the main title on RAW, no reason to bring out that hunk of gold called the WCW title.

That would have not been accept, since the IC Championship has always been know as the second best, compared to the WWE/F Championship. Pesonally, I like the old WCW Championship and I am glad to see they did not let it die, it was always cool Championship in my eyes.

Edit: I am not trying to bash the IC Championship (I love that belt), it simply would have not been accept as the main Championship on Raw, since it has always has been know as the Championship to get, while your on your way to the top and the WWE/F Championship. In another words, it would have looked too weak compared to the WWE Championship on SmackDown, for the IC Champion to be the main belt on Raw.
