Since The Rock is still part of the Raw roster (check wwe.com under superstars/raw), why hasn't the WWE had him in any one time only matches, or at least a small apperance (like showing up once or twice for like a guest referee or rock bottoming someone who is pushing someone around one night) since WM XX?

He's too busy for his movie carrer, but the WWE still wants him to come in once in a while to help out (or something like that)?

The Rock is no longer a part of the WWE, his contract ran out a long time ago.

well he's made two appearances since WM XX that i can think of.

1) during the Diva Search

2) to save Eugene from a beatdown

the Rock is a big movie star these days, he's not concerned with WWE. i'm sure he still appreciates the fans and would make another appearance if the right thing came up. but the WWE has been throwing the Rock crap ideas or ones that he doesn't want to do (like face HBK at WM 22). plus he may have ring rust and his physique isn't what it used to be.

i for one can't wait to see the Rock again in a WWE ring and i'm disappointed he didn't agree to a match with HBK.

Actually The Rock's contract is up, but he's still on wwe.com for two reasons that I can think of.  The first reason is because whoever is in charge of that part of the site is lazy and doesn't update the roster... I mean just look at Danny Basham's profile... Oh wait!  You can't.  Secondly, the WWE gets a slice of each movie he makes since they own the rights to the name "The Rock" so they wouldn't want to remove him so they can promote his films, much like they've been doing with Stacy and her stint on DWTS (Dancing With The Stars).

true, but guys like him, Stone Cold, and Hogan can always be used by the WWE if they are willing, contract or not.

He's actually not under any contract with the WWE anymore but I guess it can't rule out the odd appearance or so unless some egos get in the way of things.

Bottom line is it looks like Rocky's path of career is directed for acting on a full time basis. I hope we get to see "one more match" from The Rock in the near future (prefereably with someone like Michaels) but from the looks of things and based on his attitude towards the idea, it won't ever happen. But hey, as Hogan said in the HOF Ceremony last year, never say never in the wrestling industry.

If they are keeping him on the roster part of wwe.com because of movies crediting him as The Rock, then why just credit him under his real name then?

"The Rock" is more marketable and it's already a household name.

no one knows who Dwayne Johnson is.

It is too bad that The Rock won't be coming back to wrestling any time soon.  I really liked his charisma and his "mic presence", he could turn a show around with one presence.

HBK vs. Rock at WM XXII would've been pretty awesome indeed, way better than McMahon vs. HBK.

Rock really needs to stop making these lackluster movies. I feel like all his talent is being wasted.

He's getting acting job after acting job, being pretty successful in Hollywood.  He's already achieved everything he could possibly achieve in wrestling, becoming the top star and electrifying crowds...if I was him I'd want to pursue other things too.

dudes, the rock has capitalized on his marketability.  I for one think him coming back would be somewhat pointless, I mean besides the whole guest appearance kind of thing is awesome.  However, him coming back full schedule just won't happen.  That is almost like saying lex luger or macho man is coming back full schedule.

I hope he comes back, he is the most electrifying guy. I just hope that somebody has the same mic skills that he has comes one day. But you can't expect the guy to come back, just look what he has done for us over the years. It is possible he maybe will come back and do one more match. But for me he has done enough for the buisness, and we should look after another guy that can replace him.

Cena has got The mic skills which i think he should use way more. And he should polish his in ring skills. But people loved him when he talked trash to everyone back in 2003 and 2004. But after he got "stabbed" he stopped talknig trash for some reason.
