I plan on giving both shows a look.  However, I know TNA a little too well to get excited about AJ-Angle on Impact.

Angle-Christian has me intrigued.  However, I really don't want to see the Jeff Jarrett Invitational Title on Angle, yet.  Build up that win.

Its funny how much better Edge and Christian are as heels.

The name dropping was interesting, especially with the crowd picking up an RVD chant.  Not much sense to dropping Goldberg's name, but there's definately a logic to Lesnar.  Nothing better than a little mystery, even if you read spoilers, you know the answer.

Did I really just hear "estrogen war?"  Yikes.

Aires vs Low Ki.  I like how someone over there is thinking.

EDIT:  AMW finally broke up.  They've been trying to do that for years.

What does Petey Williams have to do with anything?

The KISS Demon and the other AJ, who probably ought to be worrying about Spring Training vs Test V2.  TNA can be really goofy.

Hmm, looks like AJ decided to steal some of Matt Sydal's tights.  Interesting.  I was very used to his other look.

EDIT 1: Thus far, Angle is squashing AJ like a bug.  Considering Styles has been Mr. Everything in TNA, that strikes me as really, really stupid.  Even though he's a heel, Aj ought to look competitive without cheating.  Or else your whole company looks bush league... more bush league.

EDIT 2:  Based on what was shown on TV, they made AJ look absolutely inferior to Angle.  AJ Styles, the only guy in TNA to hold the triple crown of titles and he's done it multiple times.  Ridiculous.  As I expected, AJ-Angle wasn't allowed to come anywhere close to expectations, but I hoped that AJ would at least look competitive.

All in all, Impact needed more Jerry Lynn.

Was thinking maybe Jericho as Christians mystery man. - former tag partners, Jericho had some great matches vs Angle, who knows. I am already bored of that Abyss secret that Sting is trying to find out. Leave Abyss alone with James Mitchell, leave him as the monster.

I definately agree here.  Don't repeat the errors WWE made with Kane.

Question, why is TNA HW title called the NWA Title?

mrgab
It is owned by the National Wrestling Alliance (which TNA was originally part of) after TNA split from the NWA it bought the rights to use the title exclusively until 2014.

For more information on it's history go here.

From what I saw, Impact was pretty amusing and that's not really a good thing.

I loved that the ref didn't throw out the Rhino-Raven match until after AJ took off the mask.  He was totally fine with the three other guys running in and attacking Rhino and the kendo stick shot.  He just got so disgusted that he was fooled by AJ that he had to throw the match out.  TNA doesn't even have a definition for what constitutes a DQ and they are the best America has to offer to challenge the McMahon Empire.

It also struck me.  What kind of hell kind of secret is on public records for anyone to look up?

Mitchell's promo was pretty good.  He reminded me of Jack Nicholson's Joker from Batman.  That is good.

The opening promos were solid.

Paparazzi segment was extremely lame as most things involving Eric Young seem to be.  Shelley got a great line in there, but that was as bad as anything involving Alex Shelley can get.  Needed more Nash

Did Tenay say Jerry Lynn was 43 years old?  Damn.

Father Time looks like he's in damn good shape.

The 4-Way was typical TNA X-Division shenanigans.  Just cool to see Lynn in the ring.  He's got some life in him.

I woulda hung around for the whole show, but after the 4-way, I got really hungry and went out to eat.  I just don't care about Abyss's big bad secret... that anyone can look up at their local library and I've seen Christian and Daniels wrestle in ROH and feel confident that there is no way TNA'll come close to that.  I'll just pretend the ROH match was the main event for TNA and the show will be better because of it.

So, it's not going to. It's like when they were hyping a Goldberg coming to TNA, getting everybody hyped up, and then saying "It's Scott Steiner!!!!!"  As least Goldberg can do a spear, Steiner can't even slam a guys face into the ring steps correctly.
