Good point, but the other thread is made for the "Brock Lesnar Returning" news. This is sort of a disscussion about what would happen if he returned. I know they look similar but they are different. I'm going to keep this open. Other officers or our leader can lock it if they see something wrong with it...but really...I don't see a reason to lock it.

lesnar needs to be a heel for now. i don't think the fans will take him back as a face since he left. besides, batista sucks as a heel...(but then again he sucks as a face too)

That is not going to happen apon his return, too many fans remember how he picked football over the WWE and how he left at Wrestlemania XX. Also, Batista popularity is pretty big right now, it is not Austin or Hogan big, but still pretty big non-the-less. Let's look at the facts, shall we:

-That is where his prime of his career was at

-Raw more than enough talent in general and has plenty of heels as it stands

-SmackDown needs more talent (e.g. top heels)

-Brock is heel wrestler mosty and SmackDown has needed a top heel wrestler sense he left (e.g. we are sick and tired of seeing JBL be the top heel and we want Brock to become the top heel again on SmackDown)

Mostly though, when Brock left SmackDown, JBL became the top heel on that show and all of us wrestling would rather him join SmackDown. So, JBL would no longer be the top heel and there would no longer be a reason for JBL be champion.

So, when you add all of those factors together, it would make a lot of sense for him to go to SmackDown. It would be pretty stupid to have him join Raw, but I would not put it past WWE do something stupid like that.

Because Wrestlemania is post to be more about good old fashion wrestling, that is my guess.

Anyways, they did have the Six-way "Money in the Bank" Ladder match at Wrestlemania XXI, there is gimmick match right there.

Okay, IMHO Orton is very good in the ring, that was never his problem. His problem was getting over the fans with his character turn to Baby Face. Also, him winning the World HW championship too fast and being pushed too fast did not help manners either. His in ring skills have never been out question by the fans, which are very good IMHO. It was simply that he won the World HW championship too fast. Then after that, the fans never truly expected him as a baby face and most fans thought he won the World HW championship too early in his career.

I agree, Orton's in ring skills should not be questioned as he is quite good, which he has shown on several occasions. He's not near the Angle-Benoit-Van Dam-Micahaels level of being able to make anyone look good, as he struggles to deliver with larger opponenets consistently (his matches with Kane and Batista were not very good), but has pulled off some damn fine matches in his young career.

I don't necessarily think Orton was pushed TOO as i believe his title run could have been successful... as a heel. The speed of his turn could have been something to put in our face, to raise his heat, similar to his Legend Killer gimmick.

However, turning him face pretty much screwed him over, especially considering the way it was done. It was done in the way that Evolution dumped Orton, not vice versa, and who wants to hang out with the kid who thought he was too good to hang out with you, until his friends beat him up. From there, Orton had some opportunities to recover, but never could capitialize on them, because I believe he was born to be a heel. WWE also made the mistake of never letting Orton lose. After he dropped the title, I think he lost one match between then and the Rumble and he was shoved down our throats. This caused the fans to rebel, and they would choose Batista to be the guy.

IMO, Orton is tailor made to be a career heel. Orton's look, smug demeanor, and ring skills make him more or less perfect for the "Legend Killer" gimmick and as sort of a Mr. Perfect 2.0. He's perfect to be the guy you hate, but secretly wish you were. Unfortunately, these also don't translate well to him being a face, unless you are a female. In which case, you seem to love him no matter what.
