To be honest, I have never personally ordered a PPV. The reasons vary over the years. Currently, its a combination of complete disinterest, particularly in WWE's ludicrously over-priced PPVs and inability to communicate with my cable company.
Back when I was a kid and both me and my brother were into wrestling (and my parents didn't completely disapporve of wrestling) we'd order the occasional PPV and watch at my Grandparents, because they had a box. The last I can remember of that would be Wrestlemania VII.
I've listened to a few PPVs through cable scramble, but that's not ordering a PPV.
In the Attitude Era, I got to go to a few PPV parties. Last one for the WWF being Wrestlemania 15 and the last one overall would be whatever WCW PPV it was that Goldberg lost to Nash.
I wait on DVDs.

In that case, what price do you think they should be at?

I did that lot back in the day as well, mainly with WCW pay-per-views, because beyond Halloween Havoc 1999, I never watched WCW.
With WWE, from Survivor Series 1998, until SummerSlam 2002, I only missed 3 pay-per-views. My older brother and I were huge wrestling fans back in those days.

Starcade, December, 1998.
My dad used to buy ppvs all the time during the attitude era. Now he makes me buy them and I don't have they money I have only bought 2 ppvs with my own money. Summerslam 2003 just because of the elimination chamber and Wrestlemania 22 just because I wanted to see a Wrestlemania live on ppv. I now just buy ppvs when they come out on dvd.
It's been well over a year since I've bought one!

Maybe, maybe $35-$40 for Mania because it goes 3 and half hours now. $35-$40 for Mania, $30 for the Rumble, Summerslam and Survivor Series, $20 for the rest, IMO.

I kept that up right around the PPVs going up to and just after Wrestlemania 12 until I lost interest because of Michaels's Title run.[QUOTE="Link256"]

So, does that mean, in your opinion, Attitude Era had it roughly correct on the prices?
[QUOTE="bulletproofcow"]Last year's Mania. Buying PPVs is a little taboo in this family, its not worth the arguement sometimes.Link256
I hope you do not mind me asking, however, why is that? Is it because of the money involved? The fact its wrestling? Or is it combo of both?
Its the wrestling. My mom is not much of a fan, and my brother can get a little too into it for his own good. Money is no problem as I could buy a PPV in one days work if I wanted to really. Plus my brother and mom get into too many heated arguements to consider asking most of the time.[QUOTE="Link256"]WrestleMania 24? You got time machine or something?

Yes, however, you also wrote the following:
As for me, I've ordered all of the ROH PPVs and before that, it was WM 24. Then the one before that was One Night Stand 05. Can't remember the last time before that. Probably WM XX.

What do you mean by "had"?[QUOTE="wallymartin"]I had tickets to the Royal Rumble in 2007 though.Link256
Well we had to give them to the ticket-taker people in order to get into the arena. :P
SummerSlam last August
It was mainly for the return of Triple H,but I also got a surprise appearance from Austin as well, but 'Mania is usually the only one I watch.
I went to 18 in Toronto and have seen all of the WrestleMania's since then, but I'm not sure how many "Mania's in a row I have actually watched,I know I got No Way Out in '03 for Austin's return so I think SummerSlam was the first non 'Mania PPV I got since then.
They sure have gotten pricey though

True, however, usually, when someone does something of that nature, they talk about how they had gone to the event, instead of having or had tickets, and just that. The "had" part, I thought, was potential sign the tickets had to be returned, were lost or stolen, or something to the effect of not going.
I know all of that may sound silly, however, just the way things came off to me, from the way your sentence is constructed, and therefore, reading it as such.

i'd think the same thing. saying you "had" tickets for something that has happened already implies that you were at the time of the event no longer in possession of them instead of just saying, I went to Royal Rumble 2007.
I order all of the WWE and TNA PPVs. I know it's a lot of money but I've been ordering them for so long I am used to it._Classic_Gamer_
That is how I felt during the Attitude Era, and looking back, half of those pay-per-view were not all of that great.
Also, I missed lot of great video games doing that... (than again.....how many did I really miss? I mean, this is the Nintendo 64 Era we are talking about. Plus, I might have had more money, if at the time, I did not stupidly insist on having ever last N64 wrestling game, regardless of their, shall we say, "questionable" quality...)
*Stops in motion and realizes I am rambling too much*
*Ackward pause* ...While I will always love the Attitude Era, in retrospect, I think I can safely say it made for much better television than that of pay-per-view, in particular, in the years of 1998 and 1999. 2000 is year where I would say things started to generally improve... or maybe I am just imaging things? I am not sure on that one...
With that being said, while WWE still has its fair share of ruts with PPV business, and that the prices for them, arguably, are "over-priced," I would go as far as say the general quality is notable improved... or maybe I am just imaging things? I am not sure on that one...
I've seen only 3 in my life.
Wrestlemania 21
The last New Years Revolution(where HHH hurt his knee again)(the only reason I bought this one is because my uncle offered to pay for it.
and Royal Rumble 08
