Who Do You Think Should Be In D-Generation X 2006?

Since it is a well known fact that DX will be reformed soon, and the first two members will know doubt be it's founding members, HHH and Shawn Michaels.

Well let's hear who you would like to see in DX.

(Note - It's a given that the new DX will be a face group, so if you think a current heel will be in the new DX, tell us why)

i'm not sure who else will be in DX, but i'm sure it'll be HHH and HBK for a few weeks and HHH will feud with Edge (who i'm guessing will align himself with Vince and Shane and that will bring all the feuds full circle).

for the first member to be in DX, i hope it's a younger star so it will help elevate him. my guess would be Charlie Haas. also maybe the Big Show will be added and who knows.

also since i think HHH will feud with Edge, i think Cena is gonna turn heel and feud with RVD.

If he wasn't already going for WWECW, I would say that Triple H and HBK could say they found "some random guy," and out comes CM Punk. That would own, but in all honesty, I doubt that will happen. Maybe Haas, possibly Benjamin with his new attitude. Uhh, maybe Test as Kevin Nash 2.0, and they could inject some steriods into Victoria and make her Chyna 2.0.WWEMAN101

if Punk were to be in WWE, he's a natural heel and his "Straight Edge" gimmick is a natural heat getter. all Punk needs is a match with someone good and some mic time and i bet he'll be more over than Gene Snitsky's Bacne.

I did say "in all honesty, I doubt that would happen." anyway, maybe Booker T (doubtful), Big Show (please, no), longshot, but maybe Chuck Polumbo (if he really is coming back).

Oh, and BTW, I hope that the first order of buisness is "KILL JOHN CENA!"

also, to explain why I think CM Punk could be in D-X 06 is because I remember D-X being a cocky, attitude-driven group, and from what I heard from OVW and have seen from ROH, that kinda defines his character. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

i was just looking at the current roster, and there is not much people that would fit in...there's:

• Carlito
• Charlie Haas
• Shelton Benjamin
• Edge
• Big show?
• Kenny from the spirit squad.

i said kenny because, i see 4 members of the spirit squad all turning on each other while the other member(kenny) is outside the ring, hurt or something, sometime in the near future. (i also said kenny because hes the only member of the SS i like, and sephy said a "new young superstar" so..)

i think he could work out.

Don't know. But I say if they bring back DX, bring back the nwo once again led by Hollywood Hogan. He could just sit back and run things and only wrestle once in a while. Recruit Big Show, and John Cena, Carlito, and Shelton Benjamin. It would be a new nwo. That would be tight.Erbac

In all honesty, I don't think there's really anyone else in the WWE that would fit in with D-X. I think it should just be HBK and Triple H.

Along with Hunter and Michaels, I'd throw in Carlito in the mix.

He'd definitely add more humour with the group and could benefit from the experience in the long run. He's super over as a fan favourite on RAW, regardless if he had to cheat to win, which suits D-X's persona if you ask me.

Not necessarily, but it would make things a lot more interesting and I can certainly see the odd classic moment or two involving a hoss in the faction. Looking at the RAW roster right now though, Big Show could play the part great I guess. However, knowing Hunter, he's probably recruit Masters to the group.

HBK and Triple H fueded from 2002 to 2005. The whole thing started when HBK came back and suggested that the two reform D-X. Triple H beat him up, and then they had an extended rivalry. They had 4 several bouts that I can remember, An Unsanctioned match at Summerslam 2002, a Last Man Standing Match at Royal Rumble 2004, they were in a Triple Threat Match at WM XX (alonmg with Benoit), a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood 2004, and one last match at Taboo Tuesday 2004. They have had a few more matches since, but none of them had a big match feel to them. (All of their further 1 one one matches were on RAW) And now, after a 3 year rivalry which started with HBK trying to reform D-X, they decide to reform D-X. That makes no sense to me.

But doesn't Hunter and Michaels have "bad blood" too? I mean, have you forgotten what went down from 2002 to 2004? Honestly, if the "bad blood" we've seen between HHH and HBK is acceptable to put aside, a small grudge between Carlito and Masters won't get into the way of things either.

X-Pac if he does return. Maybe toss in Victoria (shes as close to Chyna as you will get).

If Jackie Gayda was still in the WWE, then would see Haas coming aboard.

Perhaps Rob Conway to get back on the winning ways.

It isn't a well known fact. This is a swerve if I ever saw one, and I sure hope it really is a swerve.  To be frank DX would not work anymore, it will never work again, it's time to move on. HHH's character is a far contrast from what he used to be, he is now hard nosed, bitter, and hungry, HBK is a born agian Christain, to be honset they just aren't who they used to be. None of the DX jokes would be done with the same emotion, the characters wouldn't have the same chemistry, it just does not work. Now I'm not saying HHH and HBK won't align themselves, no that's very possible but the stable of DX will not return. It's a well known fact that any and every attempt to bring back tag teams or stables in one form or another fails, with one exception being the 4 Horsemen. But for every Four Horsemen there are 50 New LOD's or New Blackjacks.

Yeah this has swerve all over it, I don't think WWE is that stupid. Remember a few years back I think it was Vengence maybe, a poster was released that featured HHH as the WHC(this is when he wasn't Goldberg or somebody had it) everybody and their mom knew that HHH was going to be the WHC by Vengence... was he? No. These posters are always released with false claims. As for the taunts and build, do you guys have a memory that doesn't span more then  a year? Summerslam 2005 every hint was dropped in the book that Bret Hart would return in the Legend vs Icon match, every single one. Yeah I was at Summerslam, I must have been in the bathroom when Bret came out because I didn't see him...

Now ofcourse I could be wrong, I have been before. DX may return. But quote me on this, if DX returns they will not have a life span of over 9 monthes.

It’s being said that some WWE officials have recently made contact with Raod Dogg and Billy Gunn in regards to a possible WWE return. Road Dogg was directly approached about the situation, however Road Dogg and Billy Gunn are both still under contract with TNA. If they did in fact come back to the company, there would have to be a penance to pay due to the inflammatory remarks they've made towards Triple H in interviews in the past.

Another idea would to have two younger wrestlers join the Degeneration X group with Triple H and Shawn Michaels to give them a rub like with The Evolution faction. As this point however, the "DX Reunion" set for June will simply consist of Shawn Michaels and Triple H being a tag team. "

This should be reunion of the founding member of the faction, Shawn Michaels and Triple H. I do not want to see anyone else in the faction, and that includes the likes of X-Pac. Personally, I believe if anyone else joins, it will have similar, if not worse, feeling the second generation of Degeneration X had... sense that there is something missing, the "it" factor.

Granted, this era of the faction will probably not be of the same quality...and certainly not of the same vibe, however, I think this faction should be about reunion, not about elevating up-and-coming talent. Do not misunderstand what I am saying... I am in strong favor of elevating up-and-coming talent, however, guys such as Johnny Nitro and Charlie Haas should find something of their own...something that they can say is of their idea...something that is fresh.

Also, I do not think Carlito being in Degeneration X would not many any sense... First of all, Degeneration X is obviously going to be faction of faces...Carlito is tweener and honestly, I believe it does not matter if Carlito is face or heel, he should always remain as tweener, because his character is best suited in that matter. Second of all, Carlito "attitude" simply does not fit the mold of Degeneration X vibe, not does his image. Figurively speaking, he would "sick-out" as if he were sore thumb.

I still say that this faction should only be about Shawn Michaels and Triple H having reunion, however...if I had choose one person, I would say Johnny Nitro: He has the look, and image of the Degeneration X type "attitude." (For that matter, same could be said about Joey Mercury) However, same cannot be said for other names memtioned, such as Charlie Haas, Carlito and RVD.  

With all the talk about Johnny Nitro and Melina going to Raw I think they would make good additions to DX they could always use some young talent and a strong (albeit annoying) female presence. pepeatumi
