Wrestling you want to see in 2007

Well, we are approaching the end of another year in wrestling.  As is usually the case in pro wrestling, it was quite eventful year that brought us all something that we'll remember... for better or worse.  In 2006, Rob Van Dam finally won a World Title, Edge finally put it all together and stepped into the main event and became the top heel in wrestling and JBL finally stopped wrestling.  We got to see Bret Hart inducted into the Hall of Fame, CM Punk make his WWE debut.  Kurt Angle wrestled Samoa Joe, Chris Hero debuted in ROH, Jeff Jarrett is not the NWA Champion.  Some of the events turned into nightmares, like Rey Mysterio becoming World Champion or WWE giving the people what they wanted in a DX reunion and making us suffer for wanting it.  So now, its time to voice what you want to see in 2007. 

I orginally intended this to stick just to matches you want to see in 2007, but I decided to broaden it to just anything wrestling related that you want to see in 2007.  What do you want to see in 2007?

WWE:
1.  Bobby Lashley to stop being the ECW Champion
2.  Rob Van Dam vs Shawn Michaels... preferably at Wrestlemania and very preferably not a squash.  RVD has stated he wants this match and I see no reason why, if he's on his way out of WWE, they can't do this match, give it a proper time and finish and have Michaels get the win.  But knowing WWE, HBK would take it in 32 seconds with SCM.
3.  DX to stop existing

TNA:
1.  Alex Shelley to stop losing.
2.  Kurt Angle vs other people than Samoa Joe in competitive matches.  For example, AJ Styles, Daniels Jerry Lynn, and Rhino.  I'm not sure why Rhino, exactly, but I want to see it.
3.  Jerry Lynn wrestling
4.  Jerry Lynn vs Christopher Daniels

ROH:
1.  The Battle of Generation Next 4 Corner Survival or Elimination Match: Roderick Strong vs Austin Aires vs Jack Evans vs Matt Sydal (since Shelley isn't in ROH at the moment, if he were I'd want him in there).
2.  Alex Shelley back in ROH
3.  Roderick Strong vs Matt Sydal

Ya know, I'm sure there's more, but this is what sticks out as what I want to see in 2007.

ROH:
1.  The Battle of Generation Next 4 Corner Survival or Elimination Match: Roderick Strong vs Austin Aires vs Jack Evans vs Matt Sydal (since Shelley isn't in ROH at the moment, if he were I'd want him in there).
2.  Alex Shelley back in ROH
3.  Roderick Strong vs Matt Sydal

1 & 3 are dream matches of mine. also Aries/Strong vs. Evans/Sydal would be cool too.

i NEED a Sydal title shot (but not against Homicide)

i want to see BxB Hulk and Susumu Yokosuka in ROH. BxB would get over cuz of how awesome his dancing is and Susumu would be a crowd favorite since he's like CIMA x 100.

Super Dragon, Quackenbush, Tyler Black (Possibly Black & Brave Reunion if they could bring in Marek Brave too), Havana Pitbulls Reunion, Fast & Furious, Hero vs. Claudio, Sweeney vs. EVERYONE, Sweeney on "Good Time, Great Memories," Nigel as World Champ, Jade Chung to return, and there's more, but oh well.

WWE:

1) CM Punk vs. Sabu/RVD

2) Londricks vs. Hardys

3) Edge & ? vs. Hardys (Gimmick matches galore)

TNA:

1) Jerry Lynn vs. Kurt Angle?

2) Joe vs. Ki

3) Homicide & Low Ki vs. The World

Here are some things I want to see in wrestling:

WWE:

1. Like you said Dude, not have Bobby Lashley as ECW Champion
2. Londricks vs. Hardys vs. MNM in a TLC match at WM 23
3. I would also like to see RVD vs. HBK at WM 23
4. No Vince McMahon storyline, although I feel there is going to be one
5. CM Punk getting a title run near or around toward the end of 2007
6. John Cena not being a Champion for the entire year

TNA:

1. Jerry Lynn wrestle as much as possible
2. Kurt Angle vs. the young and hungry talent such as A.J., Christopher Daniels, and whoever else can deliver MOTY matches with Angle
3. Have the X Division mean as much to the World Title like it use to
4. Come up with some new and innovative match type
5. Stop taking cheap shot at the WWE and worry about their own product

ROH:

1. Try to watch as much of ROH so I can familiarize myself with all the talents
2. Buy ROH DVD's

A couple more that I thought

1. Chris Jericho back in wrestling, somewhere.  I think I'd like to see Jericho wrestle again more than the Rock, by a lot.
2.  Jerry Lynn vs Bryan Danielson
3.  AJ Styles vs Alex Shelley (I don't think TNA would do this justice)
4.  More Dragon Gate
5.  Roderick Strong and Jack Evans vs anyone
6.  A Jack Evans singles push?
7.  Jack Evans vs AJ Styles
8.  More Doug Williams
9.  Chris Jericho vs Kirk Angel.  They've only had one singles match that I can remember and that was way back at No Way Out 2000.
10.  More Marufuji (I think I actually prefer him to KENTA)

WWE
- A unified tag team division.
I saw what they could do at Armageddon and it's a division worth fighting for, despite the different brand complications.
- A lengthy feud between Shawn Michaels and Johnny Nitro.
Nitro and Melina remind me of a young Shawn Michaels and Sensational Sherri. There's just something I want to see from these two.
- A WresteMania programme between Rob Van Dam and CM Punk for the ECW Title.
Yes, Lashley needs to drop the title ASAP. I loved what we briefly got to see between RVD and Punk in the Extreme Elimination Chamber and I want to see more.
- Ken Kennedy stepping up to the main-event, the World Title.
Although he started 2006 on a bad note with an injury, he has proved that a) he can work alongside main-eventers and put on main-event worthy matches, and b) he's got the whole package; he can wrestle and he's one of the most charasmatic wrestler on the roster.
- Mark Henry not returning.
Isn't he slated to return at the start of 2007? Yeah, not good.

TNA
- The X-Division Title not treated like WWE's Cruiserweight Title.
- Maverick Matt to sort his look out.
- Kurt Angle vs. [AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Chris Sabin, Senshi] throughout the year.
- More Naturals.
- Less shots at Vince, DX and WWE in general and focus on their product instead.

ROH
- More updated shows on TWC.
- More Doug Williams.
- More UK tours than the two recently announced!

WWE:

1. Less storylines, more entertainment through wrestling.
2. No milkin' of Legends.
3. ECW to branch out to more companies other than the WWE.
4. More hirings of PROFESSIONAL wrestlers.  No more signings of hosses who can't do more than 10 moves.
5. More thought into how to put on a "Tribute to the Troops" show.
6. No more of Eddie Guerrero's ghost haunting us for another year.

TNA:

1. Get the f**k out of Florida!
2. Expand iMPACT! to a 2-hour show.
3. Hire somebody/some people to help the poor music director, Dale Oliver.
4. Stop givin' the WWE free advertisements.  TNA is far from ready to compete with the E.
5. Hire some better writers.  Or better yet, just get rid of 'em all together.

ROH:

1. Land a friggin' national TV deal.  FOX Sports is a good start.  At least get the programming to stream live/archived ROH shows through the Internet, preferably through the ROH website.  (And not only certain matches.  The whole show!)
2. Make itself more known to the public.  Most smarks on the Internet will likely know about it, but what about the people/marks who are only familiar with WWE (and TNA)?

Some of these may...probably are...false hopes.....however.....I shall note them regardless because I am liking the idea behind this thread...

WWE:

• This cannot be stressed enough: Lashley and world title picture most certainly do not mix (i.e. he needs to drop the ECW title)
• Edge needs to win the WWE title and have mean something beyond it being transitional kind of ordeal
• Following folks need to retire by the end of next year: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler and The Undertaker
• No more DX
• Umaga and K-Fed do not...and should not, win world title of any kind
• In some shape or another, whether it be through TNA, legal matters or some kind of other means.....WWE needs some pressure, competition, fear and/or whatever you want to call it, put into very core of their being
• The way I currently am feeling, I am thinking ECW needs to be put to rest

TNA:

• Keep the belt off Jeff Jarrett
• Have Kurt Angle "involved" (as in competitive feud) with some with who's name in not Samoa Joe
• Don West needs to be fired.....at least in regards to being announcer
• Go back to the tradional ring format
• Addional hour, as in 2nd, for TNA iMPACT!

WWE:

1: Benoit in World Title Contention.

2: Tag Teams are either not restricted by the brands are all moved to one.

3: The Londricks vs. The Hardys in every gimmick match imaginable.

4: 'Taker shows up more than 4 times and doesn't squash new talent.

5: Kane retires.

6: Mark Henry shows up for one show and falls on Vince, then has a heart attack, so neither show up again.

7: HBK vs. Chris Jericho/The Rock

8: Randy Orton does the RKO correctly.

9: Edge beats Cena (or gets the title in another way) and embarks on a relevant title reign while Cena goes to ECW and dies slowly, like the rest of the brand.

10: CM Punk jumps off the sinking ship of the WWE after at least one RVD vs. Punk match.

11: Batista vs. Khali/Lashley in a botch fest.

12: WWE brings in guys from Japan for showcases.

TNA:

1: JJ doesn't turn face.

2: Angle vs. damn near anyone.

3: Angle vs. Joe 3 becomes a true match for the ages, instead of just very good matches like it's predicesors.

4: Joe wins the Title eventually.

5: X Division gets more than 2 minutes per TV show.

6: 2 Hour time slot.

7: WWE sends Michael Cole to go against either of the TNA announcers in a "Who is the most annoying announcer today" contest.

8: They never mention WWE again. Ever. Focus on what happens in your own damn company.

9: Get the f*** away from the retards in Orlando. (Seriously, I have seen 3 PPVs and heard 892 "This is Awesome" chants when absolutely nothing was happening.)

10: Angle realizes that going to MMA would kill him and stays in TNA.

ROH

Only one: TNA gives ROH Angle for at least one match: Kurt Angle vs. Bryan Danielson. (Honestly, I don't follow ROH at all, I just want to see that match.

Here's what I want in 2007:

WWE:

1- DX vs. Rated RKO for the Tag Team titles.

2- John Cena vs. Umaga.

3- Lashley vs. RVD.

4- Helms vs. Jimmy Wang Yang ( he's Akio).

5- Hogan wrestles at Wrestlemania one more time.

6- Brothers of Destruction vs. Paul London and Brian Kendrick for the Tag Team titles.

TNA:

1- Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle.

2- Kurt Angle vs. NWA World Heavyweight champion.

- Joe vs. Morishima

- Nigel Mcguiness winning the RoH World title

- Misawa vs. Kobashi one last time in NOAH, and Kobashi winning the GHC heavyweight title one last time

- Morishima getting the GHC heavyweight title

- The return of Low-Ki and Alex Shelley in RoH.

- A Homicide/Low-Ki feud that spans the entire year of 2007

- Joe turning heel

WWE

* Royal Rumble Winner Mister Kennedy!

*Kennedy...RVD vs. CM Punk

*Chris Benoit vs. Shelton and  a good match

*HBK vs. Shelton with Shelton winning

*TLC for the unified tag team titles, WGTT, MNM, Hardys, Cryme Tyme,Londricks, Regal and taylor at WM 23

*Combine tag divisons

*A Draft of some sort.

*The death of DX without HBK breaking his back or a HHH/HBK fued

*I was going to say Cena heel turn but then who would be top face? HHH? Yikes!

TNA:

* Kurt Angle vs X divison *Kind of like Kevin Nash but better*

*AJ vs. Joe vs. Daniels one last time * the series is tied 1 to 1 to 1*

* New NWA Champion Samoa Joe!

ROH:

* To stop being so hard to watch!

Ya know, I say put Krazy Kurt in the X Division.  TNA has been saying since they started that the X Division is what they are going to showcase and the only time they've ever shown any interest in doing it was at Unbreakable 05 when they let the 3-Way main event and it just delivered the best match TNA has ever done.  This is the quickest way to put it over and, it would be even better yet if TNA didn't do it in typical TNA fashion and immeadiately put the belt on Angle.  Let Angle drop a few to the X Division guys and really put them over and actually build to him taking the belt.

Meanwhile, Joe could start chasing the NWA Title and if TNA played their cards right they could do Joe-Angle the way it was meant to be at their next BFG and go X-Division Champion Angle vs NWA Champion Joe in Wrestlemania 6 style Title for Title match.

Too bad I have no faith in TNA.

• John Cena jump to Smackdown!
• Chris Benoit jump to RAW and winning of WWE title
• Remove Lashley from ECW
• Umaga gets squahsed by some random jobber
• Punk push
• DX disbanded
• HBK in title picture

• Samoa Joe NWA Champ
• Christian & Joe fued for NWZ title
• AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle
• More Kevin Nash segments
• NEW COMMENTARY TEAM
• Sign Chris Jericho

• Get some TV deal
• Post shows on their web site

• A Cruiser Weight division outside of Gregory Helms. Please.
• Keep the Hardyz and MNM together as teams and continue the job of rebuilding the tag team scene.
• No more Lashley as the ECW champion!
• Less predictability! I remember when RAW surprised me every damn week, now, I can predict the outcome a couple of damn months in advance.
• Someone other than John Cena in the title picture.
• A series between Shawn Michaels and Shelton Benjamin, but one where, you know, Shelton actually is allowed to build up some cred and be put over.
• Possible Shawn Michaels heel turn? For some variety and all; he's been a face forever (I don't count the two week Hogan Heel Turn from last year)
• I wouldn't mind more Chris Benoit vs William Regal, but as with Shelton, lets not use it as an opportunity to bury Regal.
• Continue the CM Punk push - maybe give him more mic time, since he excells in charisma.

• Alex Shelley needs a title run. Either have him get the X title and feud with Starr for it, or have him and Starr pick up the tag titles. I think a Shelley / Starr vs LAX feud could be awesome.
• Samoa Joe for NWA champion.
• Low-Ki / Joe feud.
• No more Sting, Steiner or any other ex-WCW workers.
• Give Jeff Jarrett an ultimatum - he can either wrestler, or be on the booking / creative team, not both. It's just too much of a conflict of interest.
• Chris Sabin heel turn. I'd actually kind of like to see Sabin and Petey Williams form a heel tag team - I think their chemistry could get them over pretty well, and they have a well documented history of haivng trained together. Not sure on that one, but hey, this is a wishlist we'll never see happen, so whatever :P
• Give the X Division as much prestige and time as you do the heavyweight division, if not more. The X Division is what sets TNA apart from WWE and should totally be their focus.
• Stop treating LAX like crap! They need to stop dropping the belts every five minutes.
• No more rapid fire title changes! Done once it adds a degree of unexpectedness, done every week, it makes your titles look like trash.
• No more taking shots at WWE, no more pushing ex-WWE 'talent' over your home grown talent, and basically no more inpersonating WCW.
• A better announce team. For the love of all that is holy a better announce team!
  
• Kurt Angle in a few X Division feuds, as previously mentioned. Only if Angle is willing to legit put over the X Division talent, though.
• Kurt Angle vs Alex Shelley, done properly, to show the fans just how damn talented Alex Shelley is.

• Alex Shelley back in ROH, please.
• Expand the amount of web broadcasts / downloads they offer, even if it's only lower tier matches - just to help get new and potential fans hooked.
  
• As previously stated, Evans / Sydal vs Strong / Aries. I'd buy a DVD if that was the only damn match on it.
• More Dragon's Gate.

WWE:

- Hardyz vs Londricks vs MNM vs Carito &[RVD,Shelton Benjamin,Rey Mysterio] in a Fatal 4-Way TLC for the Tag Titles(unified)

- Hardyz vs Londricks in a 3 Stages of Hell[Ladder,Steel Cage,LMS]

- Benoit to drop the US Title to...anyone,and then win the World Title

- Chavo and Vicki to cut the Eddie crap

- JBL to stay as announcer;he is the best color commentator on TV these days.

- Make The Miz the host of SD! again,or better yet,fire him all together.he seriously sucks at wrestling

TNA:

Both Batista and Cena drop their titles, neither are close to what they used to be.

Taker finally lose at Mania to a deserving top star (someone like Edge)

-- The Tag Division reunited - As Mena said, there may be complications but it can work, and work well. The Undisputed Championship did.

-- ECW dead. And it's wrestlers moved to RAW or SD!

-- Shelton Benjamin up to the World Title Plate. I don't think it'll happen but you gotta hope.

-- Weight divisions scrapped. This has less than a 1% chance of happening but the Cruiserweight Division is not exactly thriving and actual talented wrestlers like London and Kendrick probably won't become World Heavyweight Champion. Just knock the Heavyweight off of the WHC and allow lighter, smaller wrestlers a shot is all I ask.

TNA

-- Benoit in TNA. Y2J in TNA. RVD in TNA.

-- Angle to face someone other than Joe.

-- Joe for the NWA Title.
