The Fridge?  He seems kinda out of place.  I guess that's sort of like Pete Rose's induction.

Nice to see Tony Atlas, I wonder why they didn't announce him on TV but that Verne guy did. And The Fridge? WTF?

Yeah, its pretty much another name for the "Celebrity wing" of the Hall Of Fame.  He did in fact compete in a Wrestlemania.  At Wrestlemania 2 (at Chicago's portion of the card, no less), he, and several NFL players of varying degrees of fame, were involved in a Battle Royal against, most notably, Andre the Giant, Big John Studd (who Perry would eliminate), and The Hart Foundation (their Wrestlemania debut).

Plus, the man is a legend in Chicago.

I enjoyed last year's Hall of Fame Ceremony, (which was a part of the 21 DVD in its entirety) and this should be good.  I get the feeling that we won't get to see all the inductions on USA, but it will again be a part of 22's DVD, which is almost as appealing as the Card, itself, right now.

EDIT:  Here's hoping WWE keeps things classy and, you know, not be the WWE for one night, to give these legends (and the Blackjacks) their due.

1.Yep. Basically just like the Pete Rose thing, and like Dude said, the Fridge is basically a legend in Chicago.

2.Hey, Heenan is inducting the Blackjacks, so that works for me.

i just thought of something....why isn't Jeff Hardy in the HoF yet?

dude....ratings!

wait wait wait.....the Gobbledy Go0ker should be in it.

TNA/ROH should have a HoF and Christopher Daniels should induct Curry Man and Jack Evans should induct Blitzkrieg II

edit: whoever made this must have failed their Junior College Photoshop class....

Yeah that's true. I think he's knows that this induction will probably be the most logical way to thank the fans and give his long-awaited goodbye speech.

However, I wouldn't count on him not showing up though. First off, it'll be April 1st. "April Fools" anyone? Plus, not showing up would be a way to get revenge on the likes of Vince since he trusted the company and got screwed out of it without an ounce of honesty in the air.

I think it's a great idea bringing Eddie into the HOF. But I think the Bret Hart's induction will be the main induction this year, just like Hulk Hogan's last year. Congrats to everyone who has a place in the HOF this year.

Julie Hart, Bret's ex-wife, will be in attendance at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony this Saturday night in Chicago. Her four children, Jade, Beans, Blade and Dallas, will be in attendance as well. Also, Diana Hart and her son, Harry Smith, will be attending the ceremony.

Well, that has disaster written all over it.  Hopefully, he will be kept heavily sedated.  Teddy Hart and cameras are not a good combination.

Two more additions to the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2006 were announced on last night's edition of Raw...

“Mr. USA” Tony Atlas will be inducted by S.D. “Special Delivery” Jones, while William “Refrigerator” Perry will join Pete Rose in the celebrity wing of the Hall and will be inducted by WWE Champion John Cena.

i felt both were out of place, but i guess they deserved it. :?

the only thing that actually got me angry, was cena inducting will perry...im pretty sure that they are not friends, from the same home town, or have anything in common. but since (like it or not) cena is going to be the next stone cold...(well, thats what it looks like right now,) so they give him a push...and have him induct someone he doesn't even know?

dont get me wrong, i dont HATE cena...i hate what the wwe does with cena...most of the time.

Just confirming that he'll attend the ceremony...

I asked Nattie Neidhart, the niece of Bret Hart and daughter of Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart, if she would be attending the hall of fame induction ceremony. Her response, "Harry Smith (son of the British Bulldog) is going to attend the ceremony. Teddy Hart (Bret's nephew), TJ Wilson, and myself along with Harry were asked to be Bret's guests at the ceremony. So it is quite an honour and we look forward to representing the Hart Family and being there for Bret on his big day."Gerwick.net

In related news, it looks like us UK'ers won't get to see the HOF '06 ceremony. It isn't listed on Sky. However, there will be a WWE Special on Sky Sports running between this Saturday and Sunday which will be an hour's worth from Bret's DVD.

Yeah most likely they'll show Eddie and Bret on the USA Network, cause I remember last year they showed Hogan and Piper who were the two biggest inductees.

I think it is a shame, that Jake the Snake Roberts and The Million Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase did not get in the hall of hame this year. Because both of them had huge impacts on the business during their prime. I am going to write about Jake in another thread on here sometime soon

As stated by MistaMike54, you can watch the first two hours of the Hall of Fame ceremony on WWE.com (starting at 9/8 p.m. CT).

Then be sure to tune into the USA Network at 11/10 p.m. CT for the final hour of the historic event.

In other words, you'll be probably watching the HOF Induction Ceremony in its entirety.  (And thank you WWE.com for posting the Central times for me. :P)
