Positives:
+Â McMahon's are not on the show (Thank-God)
+Â Faulty electricity at begging of the show made for more of unique vibe
+ Jim Ross was not humiliated in his home town. By the way, seeing how most of the IWC, including myself, complain when the opposite occurs, I thought it was only fair to mention this fact of the otherwise and give bonus points to Vince McMahon for having some respect for Jim Ross on this rare instance
+ Regardless of the fact I rather not see "safe" move of having Eric Bishoff make his return to Raw, if equals into destruction of the "McMahon-Family happy hour," I am in full-support of it
Mixed:
+ King Booker and company 'mugging' of John Cena. To be simple, here are the basic points: Smackdown > Raw, free advertisement for Smackdown, JR's announcing during the segment and last, but most certainly not least, King Booker gracing us with his presence on Raw :P
- On the other hand, while there were good points to John Cena being 'beat-down' by the King's Court, there were some bad ones as well. For example, honestly, is John Cena "Superman" or what? Seriously, how many shots to the head does take before you will stay down? Ridiculous...
+ Regardless of the fact that management has milked Edge-Cena feud to death, I think the announcement of steel cage match happening next week has good amount of potential, if (by the way, that is big "if") given the correct amount of time
Edit 2: - However, this is WWE I am talking about and more often than not, especially on the likes of Raw, match is rarelly give decent amount of time. Besides, there is good chance that the match will probably have some kind of stupid finish
Negatives:
- John Cena latest promo, for the most part, is another example on why his mic-skills, or lack thereof, is one of the main reasons, versus the "popular" theory of his question workrate, on why he is flopping as face
-Â Electricity being fixed :P
- IC title once again is reduced to nothing more than means of having angle that does not involved the belt any shape or form (to be simple, something that is forgotten in the mist of everything else)
- Highlanders, say hello to wonderful world that is "Jobber-Land."
- DX gauntlet was a) boring, b) pointless and c) did zero favors for already heavily damaged TTD of RAW
- Eric Bishoff's mention of the "NWO" supports my fear (or rather, nightmare)Â that we could possibly be seeing DX vs. NWO feud sometime in near future
- Okay, when will Cryme Tyme make their debut on Raw? Seriously, if my feeling are anywhere near feeling of the general audience, than I have imagine that they growing tiresome of seeing basically same video for 4-weeks-straight. In the words of the Hurricane, "what's up with that?"
- Shelton Benjamin's new gimmick is self-explanatory: stupid
- Wrestling tonight was under-whelming, to say the least
Over all, I have to say this probably one of the worst editions of Raw I have seen in while (however, I guess that is not really saying much when you take look into previous editions). Honestly, what happen? Raw looked to be improving in the previous few weeks and than in regards to this week, that are back into "lazy mode" once again.
Edit: Hopefully, this was more of an "off" week for management and Raw will get back on track on next-week's edition of Raw.
