After scoring a stunning non-title victory over United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter, recently drafted Dolph Ziggler gets his chance at The Franchise Playa's title this Friday night at The World's Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden.

Again, yet MORE pointlessness to the draft. MVP goes to Raw, and then the SmackDown! in which the draft "kicks in", he defends his title on SmackDown!

Seriously, what was the point of ever doing it?

Story wise, the logic is that they booked the match before the draft took place.

In all reality, the deal is that they were talking about MVP on The View, and one of the girls from the show is going to be at the show.

EVERYONE WATCH SMACKDOWN. It looks like an amazing show. I'm really excited about the opening segment, Morrison/Benjamin, the fatal four way, and the main event.

They scrapped it and if I'm going to be honest, Kane's ALOT better than Khali

I figured this much. I just felt the question needed to be asked. I was asking from more of a rhetorical perspective, if anything.

Still, I think everyone can agree that the 4 Way Match is already better than the Scramble Match because it doesn't have the 'talents' of Khali

I was listening to Dave Meltzer, and according to him, John Morrison is a face now.

When the hell did that happen?

It happens this week, however I have no idea how. He just comes out and he's all of a sudden a face. I must say I think that this is a bad idea. Morrison as a face just does not seem right, he's more natural as a heel

Not just that. It is coming out of NOWHERE. There was not any real demand for this. Just something the WWE decided to do.

I know, but still...

Even the Umaga face turn had some sort of logic to it.

While I agree with that, and remember thinking at the time it was pretty silly, at the same time, I could not help but mark out to the initial turn.

Oh don't get me wrong, I found it entertaining at first. But as the weeks went on, I realised that there was only so much he could do as a face, it was really sad actually as a Umaga mark, well I still am. And when he turned again, it was like Christmas had come early

Whatever the case, to me, it was obvious the WWE thought they had made a mistake, seeing how it did not even last a month.

In all reality, I would have to agree. While the initial turn was fun stuff, Umaga as a face just did not make any sense.

to be fair, morrison has never actually been a face. the closest he's come was when joey mercury got destroyed in that four team ladder match at armageddon and he had to finish the match himself.

Even if he had, I rather my turns have some sort of rhyme and reason to them.

Oh of course, this face-turn seems way out of left field however I'll wait until Smackdown tomorrow night to see if it really is just a "Hey, everyone cheer for him now" thing like MVP or if they're even trying to get a decent story out of it. As good as he is as a heel, you can tell that everyone wants to be able to cheer for him.

Of course Morrison is a face, didn't you guys notice?

His teammate did turn on him during the draft. Last time I checked, that equals automatic face status in the WWE.

I'm glad he's a face now because hopefully sometime soon we can get Edge/Morrison or Jericho/Morrison or Punk(heel)/Morrison(face) on Smackdown or a PPV.

No, I remember. Just that when I watched ECW, and John Morrison had his match against Evan Bourne, he seem to be the same old John Morrision.

What I will say I am most likely being too quick too judge. For starters, SmackDown has not even aired yet.

Whatever the case, saying it "came out of nowhere" was probably stupid thing to say. Using the phrase "odd," would have probably been better.

When I read the spoilers, I though 'must watch show'. Then the thought of another 'Smackdown 6' came to mind. However, I've just been thinking. While it would be great to see something like this again, there's one huge difference between the first SD 6 and the potential of this SD 6, Paul Heyman. Paul knew actually how to book these wrestler's but I haven't got as much faith in WWE this time round. And lets face it, with all due respect, Michael Hayes is no Paul Heyman

Two things I hate about the WWE is the brands and the draft. You should be wrestling in matches in your own brand. Like, how many times have we seen John Morrison and The Miz wrestle on Raw and SmackDown? And the draft, don't get me started. Like, if MVP is drafted to Raw, then why does he go back to SmackDown! to defend his title against someone from SmackDown? And seriously, if Rey Mysterio wins tomorrow night, and wins the World Heavyweight Championship from Edge at Judgement Day, I'm gonna beat up my little brother for no reason what so ever.

I don't think Rey is gonna win because he already has the Intercontinental Championship, unless he gets to keep both, which I think wouldn't be good. Jeff? As much as I hate him, I can see him winning this even though the WWE Championship fits him more than the World Heavyweight Championship. Chris? Hahaha! Are you people serious? You want and think Jericho is gonna win this? Wow. Dude, the World Heavyweight Championship doesn't fit him as well. The Cruiserweight Championship fits him! Kane is getting my vote, ahead of Jeff. It's been a long time since he's won a title. I think the last title he won was the ECW Championship from Chavo at WrestleMania 24. Anyways, I think tomorrow night should be a good show. Go Dolph Ziggler! Jokes.

I read the spoilers and this show wasn't as good as I had hoped but it was still very good. Far and away the best part of this episode was the development of CM Punk, they did more for him in this episode than they did his entire Intercontinental, Tag Team and World Heavyweight Championship reigns combined. The crowd had a reason to cheer for him and he was able to work off the two biggest heels in the industry (as opposed to working against Batista - super face - and Orton). Another note is that the MITB was treated as something other than the announcers saying "he could cash it in tonight! or tomorrow! or whenever!" Punk detailing what he was going to do with the briefcase has only really ever been done by RVD in 2006. Great episode in regards to the main storyline; Edge, Punk and a featuring Jericho did very well in their roles. Match quality was very good too; Morrison vs. Shelton was way way way too short and guess what? It's just a case of you having to cheer for Morrison now because that's how WWE works. The fatal four way was a great match which I'd give ***1/4, it didn't hurt that I misread the spoilers and was surprised at who won. Punk/Edge was solid but nothing groundbreaking, **3/4. And finally.. the ultimate epic fail that was Ziggler vs. MVP. Ugh.. if i never see Sherri Shepherd again (i'm annoyed that I know her name now) it will be too soon. A few annoying things though, cannot deter this from being one of the best Smackdowns in recent memory.

People even saying "C" "M" "PUNK" along with Punk when he came out.

If there's anything that stood out for me on this show, it was this line that JR said right at the end:

'The young stars came out to shine!'

That right there sums this show up perfectly!

It was a great show last night. I want more of this kind of action every Friday night. Hell, every show should have a feel like that of last night show. And Turk130, you pick out a great line to sum up the show.

I think they should go with a Shelton Benjamin vs. John Morrison rivalry. The match started good but too short.

The highlight match of the night was obviously the Fatal Four Way Elimination match. That was a great match.

The thing about this show for me was that it flowed and the 2 hours passed by so quickly. But the best thing by far was that it just felt so fresh and exciting, whereas when I watched Raw on YouTube the other day, it just felt actually like it has these past 3-4 months

That's what I was thinking, a very good response.

I also love how he acted towards Jericho.
