WWE, Tajiri reach agreement on release
December 8, 2005

WWE and Tajiri have reached an agreement on his release. Monday Night RAW in Boston on Dec. 12, 2005, will be Tajiri’s final appearance. Tajiri has decided to go back to his native Japan to work on writing a book. In addition, Tajiri plans to write news columns upon his return. WWE wishes Tajiri the best in all his future endeavors.

I guess he'll be off to Japan now.

His "talk" during Eric's trial relates to this and I am not really surprised. Tajiri has entertained us and is one helluva hilarious guy and I just wish he was used properly, in the CW Division or something.

I hope he continues wrestling though.

Well I am sad to see Tajiri go, but it will be cool if he would go to NJPW.

That is bitter sweet.  Good for Tajiri because he has a chance to have a better career in another promotion but I will miss him being on WWE.

With his wife recently saying that she wanted him to stop wrestling altogether, I won't be surprised at all if he never wrestles again.

:evil:Here we go again. The WWE keeps on releasing people every five seconds. Remember during this year when they released like 7 people. I am sad to see Tajiri go, but this is so dumb to see how WWE treats their wreslters. Next thing you know they release Batista.

Sad, but not exactly shocking.  Its a shame, too.  WWE could never get over his size and take him seriously as someone's whose striking ability should have allowed him to hand with anyone.  He is capable of some great matches, as he showed in ECW, but WWE saw fit to make him the Japanese version of Eugene and never develop the character.  With Monday being his last night, I hope WWE gives him a decent farewell (ie not squashed by Triple H) with a good competitice match.  I'd love to see Tajiri-London or Tajiri-Super Crazy, but that would be hoping for waaaayyyy too much from WWE.

If Monday ends up being Tajiri's final wrestling match, that, too, would be a real shame.  I would have loved to see what he could do in an environment where size was not such a factor, like TNA and ROH.

You might be right but that is what WWE usually does since they have fired a lot of people.

Regardless of who brought up the idea first...Tajiri is the one who agreed to, so it does not matter who brought up the idea first.

I am glad and mad at the same time. I am glad he left cause WWE was treating him like dirt, but now I won't see him on Mondays no more. I hope he signs with TNA or something.

How he's great on the mic, and he's not a bad wrestler. Did you see his match against HBK, it was pretty good. He's improving.

WWE Confirms Tajiri's Departure

WWE.com has confirmed that Tajiri is leaving the company and that tonight will be his final night with WWE.

Tajiri was released a few days ago after requesting a release so he could return to Japan.
