With Linda McMahon apart of the Connecticut State Board of Education, she has started to make even more changes with PG Rating.

* There is to strictly be NO blood
* Very Little Sexuality (Except for some comedy Skits)
* No threatening or serious Violence
* To Deliver a More clean and Wholesome family product

The main reason for this is to not have it all backfire and thrown back at her by rival politicians

I am fine with that. As it i was, blood was being over-used, especially in the Attitude Era, and the years following that.

As far as I am concerned, one less thing the likes of Triple H and Ric Flair can fall back on.

Well at least Santino might gain advantage of the first one.

Plus i think Orton's character is going to take a BIG fall from this. as for the last part, does it rfeally matter it didn't matter for years and suddenly they care now? *shakes head*

Ever since John Cena came into play, WWE lost their adult fans and gained under-aged fans. (Children.) The 'E has to do what they can to keep their fans.

I notice anytime the wrestlers were bleeding, someone come rushing on in to wipe it off of them. Kinda like when Matt Hardy got blood on his back, someone came in and wipe it as the camera pan away real quick. Just last night, Jeff Hardy bleed on or under the eye and after the match, someone came out real quick to wipe the blood under his eye. So once someone bleed, someone like maybe the ref or agents or doctors from the back will come out and wipe away the blood.

I wonder what happen if someone bleed for real? Will they stop the match? that is if someone bleed heavily ang got busted real bad from a chairshot or a real headbutt, like that of Batista and Edge in the Battle Royal they took part earlier this year.

Agree with Link on blood being overused. Blood can be a great dramatic tool, but, seriously, its been overused. Its to the point where it doesn't feel like a main event unless someone's bleeding, which is just wrong.

I also can't tell you all how sick I am of wrestlers threatening to kill other wrestlers, so I'm cool with seeing that go.

I assume that's what they mean there. It seems pretty hard to me to have feuds without ANY threatening.

This is about the only thing listed here that has me bit concerned. What exactly does that mean? Kind of vague there.

I just hope that they can get back to how the attitude era was because if not I do not know how much more of this PG junk I can take.

Oh, God help us all. This whole PG thing is getting out of hand, IMO. I'm also having a hard time seeing how it makes business sense… I mean wrestling as a business peaked in the Attitude era, correct? And the way I see it what made that time so successful wasn't really the individuals like Stone Cold or The Rock or even DX (don't get me wrong they obviously played a major part in it), but the fact that everything was so outrageous and the writers at the time really knew what made a good show. The talent that's available nowadays is as good as ever (even though most are green), and they just need good writers like Hayman to help make them the next big thing.

I do not know how watering down the product even more is going to help make them money the same way that Attitude era did.

I guess that Linda's board of ed career is more important then the wwe, so let's use the wwe to help Linda's new venture. It makes sense. Change the product that is global, to suit the needs of the career that is only in Connecticut. I totally get it! Makes sense ... if you work for wwe I guess.

I understand that they probably think that people will buy more merchandise, or order more ppvs if their kids ask for it, and that wwe thinks that if they revert back to just before they peaked, then maybe they can peak again. Right before the attitude era, it was marketed towards families, and tons of people became fans. That is only one factor though. By that logic, you will have to split wrestling back into small territories again, and then start all over. I understand they think that this will lead to another generation discovering wrestling, and growing up with the wwe in their lives, but you won't grow at all from that. You lose the current generation of fans, and get another generation, so you can only be just as good as you have been, no better. Probably not even that good, because the current generation that you have just pushed away are the parents of the children that you are trying to target, and they won't introduce their kids to wwe, so their goes that marketing to kids strategy.

Why not take the challenge and try to see what to do to keep (or to get back) the current and former fans, while new ones discover wwe? I think I know what made wwe so popular ... competition. After you burried WCW and ECW, wrestling declined. Let some competition develop, and compete. We need WCW (or something like it). WWE needs WCW (or something like it). TNA has kind of begun to quench that thirst, although not anywhere near as large as WCW, this is probably why people say TNA is WCW 2. Let me put it in wrestling terms. Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker is successful. Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart was successful. Shawn Michaels in a ring wrestling himself, I don't think is successful. He would have nothing to try to do better than, and he would not have anybody to push himself to try to be better than. I wouldn't really want to see Shawn Michaels vs Barry Horrowitz either. So my point is some other company has to get close to the level of WWE, and maybe the spark will ignite some creative juices to flow through WWE, and the new golden age can begin!

Anyone agree, disagree, have anything to add?

oh yippe lets make a show about fighting evne less violent.

so no blood means pretty much no gimmick matches period? well i dont think we need an overkill of gimmickm matches all the time this basically makes any gimmick matches pointless

HIAC ladder Last man standing all need blood it has to be there.

this is completely stupid i havent watched in a good while but this is completely stupid we need tv-14-tv MA not TV PG-TV Y7
