All joking aside, sales numbers is not always proof of quality. Mario Party 8 has sold well-over 4 million units, while Wii Play has almost hit the 10 million mark. :|

For some reason, GamezNFlix (carrier that sends out games/movies), lists as SSBB recently released, meaning the Japanese version. Does this mean like, there is a chance I could play it before March 9th? :o-Karmum-

Actually, Japanese games can not be played on American Wiis so no. I'll join this, I'm already having a pure diet of Resident Evil 4 and Super Mario Galaxy and a bit of Melee to prepare for the Greatest Game to come out!(Next to Super Mario Bros. 3)

Want to get your hands on Super Smash Bros. Brawl early? If you're in the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston or New York City areas, you might be interested in the upcoming tournaments that are open to the public, giving fans early pre-release access to the game. The first Brawl brawl goes down this Saturday, February 16 at 3:00 PM at LA's Orpheum Theater. It's free, but only the first 256 people in line will get in, so make sure you're there early—like hanging with LA's homeless and streetwalkers early. We're still waiting on word for when and specifically where the other tournaments will go down, but we'll keep you updated. Promise.

Just before the launch of the much-anticipated Super Smash Bros.(R) Brawl, Mario(TM) and friends are hosting four regional Wii(TM) tournaments. The competitions will visit Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and finally New York for a Midnight Madness Launch event at the Best Buy store at 622 Broadway in New York. All of the 256 participants at each location will receive a $10 Best Buy gift card. One lucky grand prize winner will receive a custom-designed, crystal-covered Wii, a home theater system from Best Buy and other prizes.

"Super Smash Bros. is one of the world's most popular game franchises because it draws in characters from across the Nintendo universe and beyond for some all-out fighting fun," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of sales & marketing. "Super Smash Bros. Brawl has extreme appeal among our core audience, but these tournaments are a great way to get new fans involved as well — before the game is even available in stores."

Hey Karmum, do you have a PSP or DS, you can play those Japanese games on their, actually I know what systems can be played with JP games and without, just ask me.

Nah. The locations are way too far from where I live. However if anyone here lives near those cities and plans to attend, please give us your impressions after the event.

I will be buying this game, and I will see everyone there.

But who is everyone is play as, I'm going to say who I'm going to be, and that is one of my favorite Nintendo characters, Kirby. :)

* Character selection is limited to the starting roster
* 1v1, 4 minutes timed match
* Every item on Very High
* Battlefield only

* Played on the U.S. version, not Japanese
* Lots of prizes (such as Best Buy gift cards) to go around

We're a week away from waitin' in line for the midnight launch of Brawl. :) I'll also be participating in GameStop's Smash tournament which'll coincide with our GameNight schedule. This shouldn't be too serious as anyone from WWEv can start the GameNight without me.

It's somewhere in the Wi-Fi options in Brawl. You'll need to get online first before you obtain it.

Random thoughts on Brawl:

- I do not know why they did not call the "Pokemon Trainer" Ash? Not only does he have the same look, however, the voice sounds very similar. :|

- Making mini-game out of buying trophies is awesomeness. I mean, while may not seem as if were big deal to some, really nice touch to see Nintendo is paying attention to those little details.

- With that being said, good to see shooting of the credits actually mean something this time around.

- If Mario can have his sunshine water-pack, unless I missed something, why can't Luigi get his vacuum? Just thought...

- For kicks and giggles, even though I have full-version of Super Mario Brothers 1 and 2 on the virtual console, I was playing them on Brawl, to see how far I could get under the time constraints. For 1, its 60 seconds, while its 90 for 2. In 1, I was able to get to world 1-2, right at the stretch of the 3 pipes. With 2, I was at the begging of world 1-2, jumping on the carpet monster (or whatever the heck it is called), before things went black.

- So far, out of the newbies, I would have to say Pit and Snake our my favorites.
