Why was my post edited?

In most cases, post of yours was deleted to keep a limit to the quoting. Too much quoting is just unnecessary, and annoying. In other cases, because you had unnecessary amount of space in your post. Once in a while, it may because you said something against GameSpot's Terms of Service, or something I simply did not approved of. Other times, because I am trying to give your post more "polish."

Why was my post deleted?

It could be one of the following reasons:

One, it could be that I feel your post swayed too much from the original point of the thread. In that case, best course of action would be to switch the discussion to WWEv - Random Wrestling Posts, and you will be fine as long as the subject stays on wrestling, or to just create a new thread dedicated to that subject.

Two, I felt you were flaming someone, or things become too heated. Either case, I will only tolerate that stuff so much, and neither is appropriate. As the famous quote goes, "Disagree without being disagreeable"

Three, the amount of consecutive posts you had exceed 3. If that is the case, I will start to combine posts past that to keep the limit of 3 intact.

Four, it could be that you were complaining about something I have done, such as the deleting a post of your's. Now, not that I am against complaints towards me, because I welcome any valid criticisms. Just that where you were complaining was not the appropriate place for it. The appropriate place for complaints is this thread, or my PM box.

Why was there a topic that was locked?

Varies, but in all likely hood, there was already topic on the subject. Other common reasons include the following: topic creator requested it, something was posted that was against GameSpot's Terms of Service, discussion became too heat, or it fell under "Union Complaints," which belongs here.

Where should I contact you about complaints?

Here, or in my PM box. Anywhere else is not acceptable. Otherwise, I welcome any valid criticism.

Well I'm wondering what "unnecessary space" means when you edited my last post in the CM Punk thread Link. It didn't look any different to me before compared to how it is now, unless Gamespot glitched or something when I posted. It isn't really that important, but I'm wondering if my post really was messed up or not and I didn't see it.

There were a couple fun CM Punk threads, so Link just made one big one for all of us to discuss the best heel in the biz.

The other ones...they stemmed from them. 

I personally think the Jeff Hardy one is ON TOPIC for the CM Punk thread since you can't talk about Heel Punk without mentioning his best feud and the reason he's so sXe these days. Jeff Hardy is the Rock to CM Punk's Mick Foley.

The Beautiful People one is just pictures, it'll die soon.

My biggest complaint with this Union is with all the complaining in this Union.

'Course, what would the internet be if it weren't for people *****ing about stuff.

I come here because I like to talk (type) about wrestling and I like to talk (type) about wrestling, for the most part, with the group of people around here. A big reason for that is the way Link runs this place. He does very little that seems out of line, to me, it doesn't seem like it would take a whole lot to know the score around here, and what he does keeps this place a pleasant place to come and discuss wrestling. I would like to see that continue

I have my problems with this place, nowhere is perfect, but there are proper ways and proper times to air grievances.

I have a specific grievance along this line that has two specific cases, although I will not be specific. If you have a problem with someone, thing, aspect in this Union, it is unnecessary to post it at EVERY OPPORTUNITY, particularly when those post promote no discussion. There's being vocal (well, visual) and that's one thing. I am vocal about a few things. However, I don't take EVERY OPPORTUNITY to trash someone or something. I pick my spots and typically try to create discussion when I do. Every time someone or something comes up does not require a response from the users to get the point across. If everyone agreed about everything, this would be a really boring place, but there's posts that promote discussion and there are posts that don't. I like the former, I am not a fan of the latter.

And I thank you for that. I just tell it like it is, even if you can't see it. 

As of now, any new worship/hatred/bashing threads are banned, and will result in a instant lock. Simply put, the gimmick has done run its course.

At the end of the day if you feel like "bashing" someone just do it in the random wrestling post thread or the off topic thread.lord_soultaker

As for Off-Topic, no. It's called "Off-Topic" for a reason. Wrestling discussion does not really belong there.

I think there should be a wrestler of the week thread. Maybe choose a wrestler of wrestling personality to talk about each week because lets be honest not everybody knows everyone. I'd be interesting in hearing about lesser knowns, up and comers, indy guys, or even thoughts that everyone has about current established guys.The__Havoc

However, Wrestler of the Month will be something I'll take into consideration.

Well, nobody voted, so there's y'all a generic banner. Maybe y'all should take this a li'l more seriously. That or everyone in WWEv has lost all their creativity (as well as their Photoshop [or other image-making programs] skills).

When the next banner event comes, try to prove me wrong.

1. What's the point of having a banner contest when Jackov will put one up we didn't vote for.
2. Our so called "leader" doesn't have the time to vote for one. NOBODY voted. Yet Jackov could have. Goes to show how much time he spends here or cares.
3. Jackov has no creativity whatsoever. He must not have had the time to resize and cut an already made wallpaper for our new banner.

I'm not complaining about the banner nor that none won. I'm complaining that we shouldn't be in the situation in the first place. We shouldn't need to not vote. Whoever had that idea is an idiot.

Edit: Marcin, the one I said should one wasn't eligible to be voted for anyways.

The Leader doesn't vote. Everyone else does. Since nobody voted, I had a generic banner prepared. It's used for whenever there aren't any votes.

The problem with it, as I stated when the idea was first proposed, is that a monthly competition is WAY too frequent. Once every 4 or 6 months, if "freshness" is the idea at least, is good enough. Heck, even my union only does it once a year and it's frequent enough for us.Redders1989

I agree with this. It would be one thing if we had dozens and dozens of people interested in making banners...but we don't.

Sure seems that way. If there's gonna be hardly any participation in the next banner event, it's back to seasonal entries.

Jack, I have nothing against you personally, but why, with practically everyone wanting you out, have you made no attempt to listen to the members here or to fill us in on any progress in something to take the union forward that everyone(or anyone) approves of?

You've been almost completely silent on the leadership manner, and have made no attempt to poll us on things we want for the union. No matter your actions from the past few months, all you haven't done in this past month is unnacceptable for a leader of an active organization of any type. I was a moderator on graphics design website that pulls about 75 thousand unique visitors every day, and we learned that if leaders didn't act properly on a subject, people just started leaving.

jml gets points for having an arrested development sig anyway back on topic.

i do tend to agree jackov has disappeared and hasnt been the leader other officers around here have been. i got nothing against the guy but i do agree perhaps another should be the leader.

 and i have a complaint my post should not of been deleted in the cm punk thread. i feel i made a valid point i agree with cm punk and find his views great but im not going to worship him thats reserved for an actual Deity. thats not religious really well it is but in a thread titled cm punk worship thread i'd tend to beleive some people around here worship the guy as an actual God. and so i said hes not an actual God so while i agree with him im not going to worship the guy.

how that sparks a relgious debate that is out of context of a thread based on worshipping punk i dont know but i certainly dont think it merited a deleted post and so with that link i say you failed.
