Happy Birthday, Raw!
November 3, 2008

Forget the pointy hats. Leave the trick candles at home. But be sure to bring the noise. Next Monday night, Raw celebrates 800 episodes in impressive fashion with a three-hour special starting at 8/7 CT on USA Network. With all the chaos in the air, it promises to be one heck of a party.

Promising to kick the festivities into overdrive, World Heavyweight Champion Batista tangles with Chris Jericho in a Steel Cage Title Match. Last week, a bitter Jericho laid a heavy chunk of blame at the feet of Raw General Manager Mike Adamle for his losing the title to The Animal the night before at Cyber Sunday, unwilling to accept any responsibility for the defeat.

Will Batista be able to continue his momentum inside the sadistic structure? And just how far is Jericho willing to go to regain the gold?

In other Raw action, cocky up-and-comers The Miz & John Morrison convinced GM Adamle to arrange a tag team match between them and the legendary jesters of D-Generation X, Shawn Michaels & Triple H.

The Dirt Sheet duo has been antagonizing HBK and The Game for weeks now on their WWE.com video original program. Which of these two tandems will emerge victorious this Monday? And what type of birthday pranks might the WWE Universe expect from these two tag teams?

As for Adamle, his should be an interesting bash. After getting berated by Jericho last Monday night, the GM also took his licks from Randy Orton. The Legend Killer gave Stephanie and Shane McMahon an ultimatum: show up on this week's special episode of Raw to fire Adamle or Orton himself is going to "walk." Orton then questioned Adamle's ability as a husband and a father. That went too far, and the GM slapped Orton across the face. A livid Orton stifled his rage and stomped out of the ring.

Will Stephanie and Shane McMahon heed Orton's ultimatum, or has Adamle gained their confidence?

For the answers to these questions and more, be sure to join the three-hour Monday Night Raw party at 8/7 CT on USA Network to celebrate the show's 800 episodes.

PREVIEW FOR THURSDAY'S "iMPACT" ON SPIKE TV: STEINER RETURNS WITH THE MAIN EVENT MAFIA, LADDER MATCH, FOLEY & S_TLYES AND MORE

- TNAwrestling.com has learned that Executive Shareholder Mick Foley has requested time to speak with "The Phenomenal" AJ S_tyles! After his face to face with Sting this past week, what does Foley want to address with The Phenomenal One?

- A Ladder Match is also scheduled for the broadcast, with the winners earning a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championship: Team 3D vs. The Latin American Xchange vs. Abyss & Matt Morgan vs. Tanahashi & Volador

- Also, a Knockouts Tag Team bout is set to take place with TNA Women's Champion Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed vs. Taylor Wilde and Roxxi

- Plus, in a Six Man War main event it will be TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting, Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash taking on "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal, Eric Young and Consequences Creed!

All this and much more this Thursday night on Spike at 9pm ET - plus more news on the November 9 "Turning Point" Pay-Per-View epic event!

Is there even one singles match on that TNA iMPACT card?

Also still I'm confused at what happened with Petey Williams when Steiner came in with the lead pipe. He hit everyone but hesitated towards Petey as Petey fell back in shock.

So did Petey get nailed by the other MEM or was he just left alone?

I do believe someone else for the MEM hit Petey.

But any way Raw I hope id going to be good, I hope DX beats THe Miz and Morrison, andf as for the Cage match I kingof would like to see Jericho win the Championship back on Raw, and not on a PPV, I likedit when WWE made matches like that, WWE IMO should do that more often so The WWE Fans can think on whos's going to win.

And Nothing Personal but I think HHH needs to give up the Championship soon. IMO

A shovedown lead to a pin?! Wow that match was weak and quick(which might be for the best).

Meh tag team diva matches.

Ok, so Khali is a face now. Guess going to see matches vs Kane, Henry and probaly Big Show. Maybe do a monsters ball type.

Can see this match not ending, some dispute, maybe both escaping at same time, so can get jericho in the triple threat for the title versus that so deserving Cena for the title.

Which reminds me why I hate cage matches, escaping to win, asking the ref to open the door.

Batista sucks, he could of just gone right out the Cage, when he brought Jericho, back into the Ring.

But I am happy that Jericho is champion, again.

DX was funny, that was werid that WWE had DX in the beginning of the Second hour.

Other then that I must say Raw had alot of good stuff tonight.

So, Jericho champion again? In that case, can someone tell me the point of putting the belt on Batista, if they were just going to take away 8 days later? Seems kind of pointless.

No that I am complaining. I am all for Jericho being champion. Just seems weird.

Otherwise, my only guess is that WWE trying to go for a "Crash TV" moment.

...!!!!! Finally WWE brought something new to the show.

Seriously people, how many people expected Jericho to win the match after Batista just won the title?

Anyway...

YES! Jericho regains, Orton returns, and Adamle retires. Best 3 Hour Raw ever.

If that is the case, why give the belt to Batista at all? Not as if John Cena returning at Survivor Series is a recent development.

Increase their title holding number to make them more impressive. Plus heel vs face with Cena vs Jericho. But wouldnt be surprised to have Batista have a rematch clause and make it a triple threat.

RAW was terrible, having about 8 matches and most of them being terrible, The Hardyz's return was a bit pointless and DX's return no.6 was terrible for the match.

On the side note, i'm glad the heel divas actually win a match even if it was crap too.

btw Cole-King's quiet voices during Orton's punt kick to DiBiase are terrible. :p

Speaking of which, "fuzzy math" or not, this makes Chris Jericho a 5-time world time champion.

I think thats right if you count the Undisputed one twice or include that night he "didn't beat HHH."

So here are Jericho's held titles:

WCW Champ during the Alliance era

WCW Champ at Vengeance 01

WWE Champ at Vengeance 01 (becomes Undisputed)

World champ 2 months ago

World champ again last night.

Looks like 5!

To be honest this past 3 hour Raw dealie was the first Raw in a while where I didn't read the spoilers the night before (you can do that if you live in Australia) and actually sat down and watch the whole way through it (except of course the Diva's match which I fast-forwarded. Thank you, Foxtel IQ (Tivo for Australians)).

I have to say...pretty good. They wasted a bunch of time on that stupid little dancing spot, but Farooq (or 'Ron Simmons') kinda made it funny I guess. The tag match with Kane and Henry v Mysterio and some guy who I can't remember was also kinda boring. Suprised that Jericho won the belt back but (pleasantly suprised).

RAW Thoughts:

Whey for Bret "The Hitman" Haas

Two dud finishes kinda ruined the matches (DQ for Orton/Punk and Countout for JBL/'Taker) as they could've been great (Orton/Punk was good enough already IMO)

Loved the DX feature before their match :P

Anyone remind me if Cyber Sunday was in Washington? If it was, the 8 days story repeats exactly that of 2001 (Unforgiven where Angle beat Austin in his home town, only to lose it back to Austin 8 days later).

ECW Thoughts:

Didn't get to see Finlay/Henry, but the Matt/Bam match was fairly good. Ortiz vs. jobber was rather pointless. Good to see Jack Swagger given mic time, he wasn't too shabby at it.

ECW On Sci-Fi did a .95 rating last night. The drop is likely because of election coverage.

When he can go out and wrestle a decent match, I'm willing to drop the "epic."
