Seeing how I rarely have chance to give TNA props (due to lack of effort their part, not mine), I thought I would give them props here. While the ordeal about Tomko was prediticable (anybody that has any experience with wrestling should have seen the swerf on Angle coming mile away), the building was good because, if nothing else, a) it had logic behind it and b) help to expand/reinforce characters of Christian and Tomko.
To be simple, it help to show and remind everyone that Christian dishonest crook and minpulater, willing do whatever it takes to hold onto the NWA (TNA) heavyweight title, along with helping to expand at the possibility to there being something more to Tomko's character little bit beyond the notion of him being "that one big guy who happens to be lackey of Christian's."
Plus, if Tomko ever does turn on Christian later on, it was good way of "planting seeds" for possibly feud down the road, while, at the same time, being able to keep their friendship (or whatever you want call it) intact, without making Tomko look as if he were complete fool, despite Christian's empty claims of being able to deliver world title shot.
