Vince McMahon and Others Talk About Possible Undertaker Streak Ending Candidates

The creative team discussed the subject of Undertaker's WrestleMania winning streak last week during a booking meeting. They believe it should only be ended by a superstar on the rise, not an established star. The general feeling is that it will never end but Vince McMahon isn't completely opposed to it. If it's ever going to end, he doesn't want to waste it on a "maybe" star, only someone that everyone can agree on being a top star in the company for a number of years.

Some officials are leery on who to use in the role due to the likes of Brock Lesnar & Bobby Lashley bolting from WWE. In regards to who can possibly end the streak, a few names have been discussed, but nobody everyone can agree on. However, the name most talked about was none other than Ted DiBiase as they believe he can be the next Randy Orton. McMahon is said to be very high on him, but doesn't feel it could be done by next year with him. One long-term idea brought up is that a few years from now, DiBiase's father can be brought in because his storyline introduced Undertaker to WWE.

Damn I would hate to see Undertaker's Streak end, but if anybody is going to end it, I say either Evan Bourne or R-Truth. They are the only Newcomers that I can see being the next Rising star by beating Undertaker at WM.Crusader628

I like the idea of Ted beating him. i don't know when that'd happen, but I really like it. I prefer that over someone like, Austin beating him.

I don't really like Ted. His name seems kinda stale to me since its a well known name. Plus I like Evan and Ron because they are in good shape and are athletic. Ted doesn't seem to be in good shape, which bugs me because Wrestling is about Athleticism and seeing somebody who isn't in good shape doesn't fit my taste. I'm sure everybody else has different opinions on Ted, maybe for the better or worse, but thats my opinion.Crusader628

Kane. He has lost to the Undertaker twice in past WMs, he is probably as close as you can get to the Undertaker as well. Third time is a charm as they say.

Or Shawn Michaels. He can probably pull it off best, as he's the guy that carries the burden. Whether it's screwing Bret Hart or retiring The Nature Boy, the HBK can do it.

It's not out of nowhere. He's the son of Ted Dibiase. They obviously wont do this at next year's Mania, but one day, it'll be a very solid match.
