I was just wondering  how come there was no sequel for Brute Force?? Halo, Fable, Mechassault, even Blinx had a sequel, but how come no Brute Force 2? It's co-op mode(campaign up to 4 players) makes every mission HIGHLY replayable(me and my 3 friends played each at about 10 times now), its levels are huge and graphics are really good and although missions are linear, you could choose how to perform each mission like either use brute force or stealth(yeah, you could finish an entire stage with just using stealth and its almost as fun as splinter cell only a lot less stressful). MS, whens Brute Force 2 coming out???

Although the game sold quit well, it was pure crap. So although by a numbers standpoint you would expect to see a sequel, but many of those copies didnt stay in gamers hands very long and with the overall quality and reviews of the games, the Brute Force license name doesnt hold much value, and it would be more difficult this time to get  the same type of sale numbers without making up majourly for their mistakes in the first game

I was disappointed greatly when I finally played Brute Force. It recieved so much hype and didn't come close to living up to it.

Brute Force is not even close to being the best game on Xbox....it was a pretty average and disappointing game IMO.

Brute Force was fun enough.  I agree with the average reviews rating it about a 78% (gamerankings.com)  Above average but not stellar.  But Digital Anvil the team that created the game is no more.  So you're not likely to see a sequel.  Personally I think they got some things right and some things wrong and I would have been interested to see if they could have improved it in a sequel.  Oh well.

I agree that Brute force was fun and it was definantley more worthy of getting a sequel more so than Blinx (Never heard of it).

havn't played the game..can't even find it at GameStation!

the game is old and everyone has forgotten it
don't forget games take long to make, the more you predict it will make a hit the longer it will take
which means they may even be working on Brute Force 2

It's weird, I first heard about Brute Force like, a week and a half ago--Greg Kasavin mentioned it in his review for Otogi: Myth of Demons (he said something like, "while a lot of people are getting excited about games like Brute Force--which might turn out to be pretty underwhelming--there are games like Otogi...")  I was a little surprised at this, because it's not often I hear about an old game I'd never heard of; I do a hell of a lot of research and, well, I'm a big old gaming nerd.  Also I thought it was strange that a reviewer would use a preview of a bad game as a reference for the review of another game; I mean, it's one thing to refer to a universally despised game, but to refer to a game that hadn't even been released?  I wonder what's the story with Brute Force, that reviewers knew they wouldn't like it, before it had even shipped.

Brute Force was a pretty good game. I thought it was a little underrated, but as far as being the best game on Xbox, nooooooo way. Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Ninja Gaiden Black, Half Life 2, Far Cry, KOTOR are just some of the games that are much better. Brute Force was good though.

Brute Force Arguably the WORST game for Xbox. When i finally got my Xbox, October of 2004, Brute Force was the first game i rented. I looked at it on the internet soo much before it came out, but then i didn't get another computer till November last year, so i didn't know how good it was or bad, just my friends opinion who said it was good but not great. I took it home, played it, it was alright, but then it got worse and worse, untill i couldn't force myself to play it, which was 3 hours after i put it in.

The levels off of XBL seemed pretty difficult without playing the level many times or have friends to play coop with. Like in Halo they had ships that would drop enemies but most times you don't see the ship coming in and those dogs!

The reason why so many people did not like brute force is because they usually played alone; it would have just seemed like a halo clone...but worse. The people who did enjoy the game seemed to have all played it with 3 other friends on co-op mode, something not found in most other games. When I played it 4 player co-op 2 people ALWAYS didn't want to play so they were trying to shoot the other two down as they did the mission... more fun than the actual game IMO.

The problem for me with Brute Force is it didn't keep me hooked due to the games repetiveness in sound, no story and the game just felt like it was dragging on (in the end it felt more like a chore to try and beat it). The graphics were nice though.

Brute Force sucked and deserved nothing more than it got. In fact it was overly looked at. It was way too unoriginal, boring, and just tried to look cool with its concept to sell.

It was an average to slightly above average game.  There was a lot that probably could have been corrected and made the game better but I don't know.  As for a sequl I doubt you'll ever see one.

I really liked Brute Force.  No, it isn't the best game on the system, but it was a damned good one.  But deserving of a sequel?  While the answer is a yes...I find myself wonder if it's a necessity.

See, the game really shines when you use your squad as a squad, and it opens up a lot of tactical opportunity that, of course, translates into variable gameplay, which then gives you - duhn duhn duhn - more replay.  And the game's long.  Not too long, as a matter of fact, I found the length just right.  And the game has a definite sense of closure.  And yet...at the same time...A sequel could have been put in the works.  But it wasn't.

Now, we can whine and argue about days gone by, or we can be men and just shut up and play the games :P

Brute Force was utter garbage through and through.....

Sorry man.  It's hard to convince anyone to fund a sequel to a game that was the biggest flop for any game released on the Xbox.

I doubt it can even be argued as the top 10 best game for Xbox. Not even close to THE best. How about maybe Ninja gaiden, Halo, Mech assult, crimson skies, Fable......and the list goes on for games that can be argued THE best. I heard of brute force, and i think my brother said it was ok. Maybe i'll rent it someday, but I dunno.

The reason for no sequel could be alot of things. Maybe the studio that created it did not want to make another brute force. Maybe it didn't make enough money? Maybe it was just not popular enough to waste the time on a sequel? You should email the creators and ask them. Personally I think most sequels are crap. Sometimes the sequel is better, it just depends.
