It might appear slightly greenish because of green parts on the xbox. If those would be in red it woudl appear redish. Its a misinterpretation of the eye.
Try this:
Take a black piece of paper and lay a red cap of a bottle or something on it. Then concentrate on the color of the paper. It will appear slightly red. Same happens if you lay something blue onto it.
