Have a look on the net to see if there are any console repair companies in your country. I live in the United Kingdom and I contacteda companywith the same problems as you, they gave me a quote and then I sent them the console. They replaced the DVD laser, now it works fine.

Google it. here's the url of one guy who says he will buy your broken xbox and sell you a working one, I do not know how much as you have to email him

How old is the Xbox? You can try using a DVD lens cleaner to fix the DDE error. Or a can of compressed air.
