I'm about to pick up a new game but not sure if I should get Freedom Fighters of Mercenaries.  What do you think is better?

I wrote a review about Freedom Fighters, if you want to read it, you can find it here:

In my opinion Freedom Fighters is the better game. Mercenaries is good too and its very long and you can have a lot of fun with just free-roaming. You should get both some time.

Well, If you want a good squad-based game, get Freedom Fighters. If you just want to roam around and have fun, get Mercenaries. In my opinion, I played both and liked Freedom Fighters. I say Freedom Fighters, but they're both really good.

Thanks for the replies, but I have a question about both games.

I don't have a lot of time to play games like I use to, so having a good amount of locations to save your progress during a game is important.  I recently played Black and thought it was great, but the length of time between save points was crazy.  I got to the last mission, but taking 2 plus hours in one sitting and having to do it all over again if I need to shut it off is not for me.

Anyway, do both games let you save pretty frequently?  Hopefully no more than 1 hour between save points.

Thanks,

Ice..

They both had pretty good save intervals if i recall correctly you can save any time in mercs but you have to finish the misson in FF's to save but dont quote me on that. They were also both excellent games, but my votes for mercenaries.

Then get Mercenaries, You can only quick save in freedom fighters. to save a game you have to beat the mission or end it half-way through and go back and do the rest. not very conveinent. if that's the case, get mercenaries

I personally liked Mercenaries. They're both pretty cheap.

Read my review  about Mercenaries, it's not really good or anything but it explains some things.  It's also my first reviewed game, also my most favorite game.
