Surely the battle rifle from has to be one of the best! Its a must for legendary, and a few head shots make easy work of brutes and elites! For multiplayer the plasma pistol dual wielded with magnum make close range fire fights easy if you have decent accuracy. brute shots wost in my opinion, bit too erratic!
I like the needlerz becaus it hilarious to kill some with it and BRs are for Ultra BxR, BxB nub cakes who cant take a loss with out crying or talking back or reporting for cheating. Which is one of the reasons i dont play H2 anymore but Halo 1 is still a very good party game
Halo 1's human pistol, hands down. Kills in three shots to the brain pan, has a good clip size(12 shots), can be fired fairly rapidly, and is quite accurate-not to mention how most game configs usually let you spawn with it. Unfortunately, they nerfed it TOO much in Halo 2, to the point of uselessness. I hear that they're buffing it a bit in Halo 3 so as to make it somewhat viable, but not quite to Halo 1 level. Second would probably be the sniper rifle. In Halo PC, when you have that weapon and serious twitch-aiming skills that a mouse allows, you'll be downright unstoppable as you pull off split-second headshots left and right unless you get caught reloading or something. Third would be the rocket launcher, mostly for those pesky vehicles like tanks and Banshees whose pilots you can't easily just shoot in the face with the sniper rifle. The main issue is that it only has two shots before you need to reload, and you can't carry much spare ammo, either. Therefore, you had better make those shots count!
Hey the magnum in Halo 2 is not useless! Have you ever even tried dual-wielding magnum and plasma pistol!? It may not sound powerfull but is extremelley effective! it takes shields down when charged and a decent shot with magnum makes your oppo mince meat!
cool! I love brutes they're the most fun enemy to face and are really cool.... apart from Tartarus that is!! They can be easy if you use the covie carbine though, a few headshots and thats all she wrote! 8)

For some reason I enjoy dual-wielding two magnums. They aren't really all that great, but if you can get the drop on someone sometimes you can kill them with one clip or so from each.
Dual wield magnum-plasma pistol is a great combo,although the best weapon has to be the battle rifle as it is the all-rounder of the game,easy for new players of the series to get too grips with,it holds a decent amount of ammo in each clip,zoom function and good range and also good stopping power!My fave is the sniper rifle or the plasma rifle though!
My favorite would be to dual wield those red brute plasma rifles. If u have two you don't have to worry about having your weapon overheated. And it also looks really cool:D
