I JUST got an Xbox for the first time ever...need help picking out games

But what type of games do you like? 

Morrowind is a great game and like others have said lots of hours of gameplay.  Another decent rpg is Fable: TLC edition since you never played Fable.  Also Jade Empire is a good game and you cannot forget the Knight of The Old Republic I and II.  They are Star Wars based RPG's with I being probably the best RPG besides Morrowind.

As for Shooters you don't have an xbox unless you have at least Halo I.  I like time peroid ones primarly WWII era.  So I enjoy the Call of Duty as well as the Brother in Arms series.  Also for what is a fun but some say short shooter is Black.  The graphics are very good and I've always found it to be a fun shooter..

Tons of great games for the original Xbox and most at fantastic prices.  Look around for the good deals on the games as they exist in a big way.  Enjoy the console and have many hours of grear game play.

Sweet Mech game really.

Yes I have Mechassault 2 that is fun around 20-30 people still play that on regular xbox. Also alot of people play counter strike around 300, call of duty 3 around 200, far cry instincts evolution 50, some still play chaos theory and double agent, and everyone plays Halo 2.... so I mean it just depends what xbox games you want to buy, mechassault 1 10 people play that. Alot of people still play regular xbox games you can go online and look it up or ask on the forums it just depends.... GTA series is good....... those are just some ideas I guess

Unfortunately, that's all I've played for A/A, a lot of people will probably recommend the Prince of Persia games for that category as well, but I can't as I haven't played them yet.

Of the Mech Games, Mech Assault 2 is a lot better than the first one, it really is.  But you can get 'em both for really cheap.
