I've heard so much contradicting information about whether or not this game will ever be made, I've heard its currently being made, it was but got stopped due to lay offs at Lucasarts, They have no intention of making it, that Obsidian was making it and that Bioware is making it. Why is Lucasarts not giving any information? Do you think it will be made? and what info have you guys heard about it?
Not happenning on Xbox. But it' ll come. Kotor 1 was an early title when Xbox first launched so we can presume that it' ll be the same thing with Kotor 3 and X360.

i hope it will come out, kotor was one of the funnest star wars games ive ever played
I read somewhere that they had like 7 KotOR games planned. Not sure of how "real" that article was though, but my guess would be that there will be at least one more game.
First off I am going to say that the Kotor series is my favorite of all time. Second, I read last month that Bioware is making it and that they are already 3 well now 4 months into development. They didn't make the second Kotor because they were busy with Jade Empire. But now they are back making the third installment. I haven't read anything about it stoping development. I hope that is not true. Good luck to Bioware making the game and they better not make it as dumbed down as Jade Empire and they better not screw up one of the best franchises of all time. I have faith that they won't screw this one up since the first was so superb. So, we should have nothing to worry about. I hope they release information soon about the game.
I'm glad to hear that Bioware is making it and not Obsidian. As much as I absolutely loved KoToR2, it had so many glitches that it took away from the entire experience (For me, anyways).And the way the game anded, I can't help but wonder what character we'll get to play. Surely not Revan or the Exile again, that would be rehashing. Maybe we'll get to be HK47 and become the first Force wielding droid, lol.

link? because from what i understand, bioware has no interest in working with lucasarts again. obsidian did express interest in making kotor 3, but haven't yet because lucasarts hasn't said anything about it.
I can't imagine that either Obsidian or Bioware would ever work with LucasArts ever again. Those bastards forced them to rush KOTOR II out big time. And I'm sure Bioware had a rocky relationship with them too.

That is the complaint I hear from most people that they hated the combo system. If they make it, I do hope they improve the combat system. As for the game coming out, I know it will. By Bioware or Obsidian....I guess we will find out

they better not change the combat system. that system is unique to kotor, and it should stay with kotor.
i have to agree about the combat being one of the best things about the games. also the story i mean it waslike 'oh you're the chosen one u can save us all' kind of deal it was either you can or cant and the story was very solid espcially with character development. anyone who didnt like these games prolly didnt give it a real chance just gave up after lik 5 hours of gameplay when things were gettng good.
I know I certainly hope they come out with at least one more. Normally I am an pure action and racing gamer, but KOTOR is just superb! I loved both of them and can only hope that they put the next one out on XBOX and not just 360, as my wallet can't afford 360 for a while! Keep your fingers crossed!!
The movie Three Amigos was left off with the possibility for a sequel and it never happened. Not that a lousy comedy and Star Wars, one of the most marketable franchises in the world, have anything in common. :D

KOTOR 3 should have full asskicking enabled. I expect it to be Jedi Knight 4: The RPG in how it plays.
Turn based lightsabers? come ON!
I guess also pointing out that if I hit someone with a lightsaber they're dead probably won't make it in. But I also shouldn't be missing people at a distance of 3 feet without seeing them at least dodge

They were advertising it early though, I got my box 6 months or so after it came out and there was a KOTOR screenshot on the back. So you're half right
My guess is that it will come from Obsidian, not Bioware since Bioware is in full development for Mass Effect on the 360 (and there are 3 planned games under the Mass Effect name). If Obsidian doesn't do it we probably won't see Kotor 3, which would suck since the first one was one of my favorite games for the Xbox (not a big fan of the second one).
Knights of the Old Republic is my favorite game of all time, so I'd certainly like to see yet another installment. I believe it'll happen, probably not until 2007, but I have a good feeling that at minimum, there will be a poster at this year's E3. And hopefully it won't be a poster that is shown for two years like Final Fantasy XII, you know what I'm saying.Â
It's possible that we will be fortunate enough to recieve a lot more than just a poster, however, there could be actual concrete details and even early footage! For now we can only speculate. Either way, there is definitely a list of things that I am looking for in Knights III.
I don’t see how Lucas could not do KOTOR 3. Lucas tends to do things for the $$$ and both 1 and 2 made a lot of money. I do think it will be a 360 title and probably PS3 too. I loved the first and am in the middle of the 2nd and cant wait for the 3rd. I love the combat system in Knights, it does take a bit to get used to but the real time/turn based worked well I thought.
well.... if kotor3 dosent cum out then that will be so disapointing. cos i absouloutely lllluuuuuuuuuvvvvvvvvv kotor1 and 2!!!!!! but ive gathered a lot of rumors and i think there will be a 70% that there will A 3rd sequel.

they would be crazy not to make another one. if they are laying people off then they should make this game to make money. there is no way they cant make a new game. it has been more than 2 years since the last one. i will be pissed if they don't.
