I thought Metal Gear Solid 2 was effin' awesome. I played it so many times on the PS2, but is equally sweet on the big black box. I can't tell you how much money I spent renting this game for the PS2, racked up about 56 bux in late fees! The price of fun, I guess.shrink45
I baught Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance for the pc for 50 Euros (the symbol for Euro doesn't work here. I can't submit the message with it. This forum is soo flawed. The need to fix these html bugs!) when it was first released. Despite the horrible controls I loved it (have you ever played the pc version? If the game can make up for those controls, you know its gotta be awesome)! Don't worry though, the controls with a gamepad (as on xbox or ps2) are ok.

I would also recommend Star Wars Republic Commando if it is backwardscompatible. I wrote a review for it, you can read it here:

Â
Also Metal Arms Glitch in the System is an underappreciated, undersold gem. Here is my review for it:

Â
Freedom Fighters is also very good. It has got great reviews, but it didn't get the attention it deserved. Maybe because it is offline only. Anyway, here's a review of mine:

And if you want an excellent racing game, then Rallisport might suit you. Here is my review:
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/driving/rallisportchallenge2/player_review.html?id=371615
It feels and plays more like a racing game although its supposed to be rally. Its more about speed than about mastering super difficult turns. So don't expect a ralley simulation, but a great, well executed arcadey racing game.

If you are a Bond fan you should be able to enjoy "Everything or Nothing". The targeting takes some getting used to and the cover- and targeting system makes the game feel strange at the beginning, because its not like your typical third person shooter. You get used to it fast though ad then the game is pretty awesome. Its very varied and although its a bit too over-the-top, even for Bond, it feels more like Bond than most other Bond games you could find. Worth a buy if you ask me.
Â
You have to check for yourself whether those games are backwardscompatible. As I don't have a 360 I don't know whats on the list and what isn't. Shouldn't be too hard to find out though. Good luck.
UC2? Yuck. I did not like that game.

only way you couldn't like the game was if you didn't take the time (or didn't want to) to learn it. I never met anyone who actually knew how to play the game say it sucked.:p Its not for everyone though. I mean its a completely different game. Nothing else is like it. I think it was just ahead of its time personally. I just hope they make a UC3 for 360. UC2 was ment to be a next gen game imo. That game really pushed the xbox to the max and it showed online.
some of the best games out there are for xbox!!! its hard to tell which xbox games are the best ut we have our own opinion and heres mine
mechasault halo halo 2 leisure suit larry (jk) burnout 3 jsrf project gotham 1 and 2 fable and tons of games that are really good!

UC2 pushed nothing. I put a lot of hours into it myself before giving it a righteous kick in the balls when I reviewed it. It's easy to play; UC1 is actually much deeper, especially if you use the mutators to balance the gameplay out. Not to mention that UC1 has much better level design.
That said:
Of the XBox games that have given me the most memorable experience, my selections are:
Morrowind: Game of the Year Edition (not B/C on the 360, though)
Deus Ex: Invisible War
Dynasty Warriors 4 (5 is better, though)
Death Row
Dungeons and Dragons Heroes
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2
Red Faction 2
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Hunter: The Reckoning
i know wat u mean i dont play on my xbox any more , ive been playing on the wii and the xbox 360 Â

some of my top Xbox faves are:
-Halo 1 and 2 (the reason i bought the Xbox)
-Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 (excellent story line in 1 and got me started in RPGs)
-The Elders Scrolls III: Morrowind (amazing... nuff said)

-Star Wars: Republic Commando (cool mix of FPS and team strategy)
I hated both half life and max payne, but thats just me.
Â
there are TONS of awesome games out there youve never played:
 Battlefield 2
Rainbow six 3
RB63 black arrow (expansion)
splinter cell Chaos theory

Deathrow (futurisitc sports game thats like a cross between playing a game of frisbee, basketball, football, and mortal kombat. crazy fun.)
Â
Metal gear solid 2 substance
Far cry instincts evolution (you can make your OWN MAPS!)
Operation flashpoint elite (happens in the 1980s during the cold war between russia and the u.s., the maps are 20 square kilometers! you can HIGHLY customize your own missions for online and offline play against the computer or other people, there are more than 45 vehicles to use and 30+ weapons to use)
Â
i could go on and on with all the great games xbox has.
Â
P.S. if you dont have xbox live, dont get operation flashpoint, because its single player sucks. the thing that makes it a great game is the mulitiplayer.
Â
And the list goes on ! ....... many more good and great games for the original Xbox.....:)
