I love FPS, but my favorite changes too much to pick just one. Games that have stuck out in my memory are:
Halo 1 & 2
FarCry: Instincts
Brothers in Arms series
Call of Duty: 3
Chronicles of Riddick
Project: Snowblind
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect
Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow
Close Combat: First to Fight
Area 51
I know that's a lot (not even all of them) but they really are all great games.
Darkwatch looks really cool... I gotta try and find it!!!Woofie_kun
Its very very short, but also very very sweet. And its replayable too.Â

Nice. Definitely me next buy!!!Here is a pretty accurate, fair review of the game (gamespot's one is good too).

I would have tilted it higher because of its great settings but I would not give it more than 5 value points, so it evens out.
Its a great game to have, but you should know that its very very short. In the gamespot video review it is said that average people can beat the game is "less than ten hours". Well, I actually needed ~4 hours on normal and 5 or 6 hours on very hard (which is still not too hard) and don't think of me as an above-average player...
Try to get it cheap. If you get it for like 10-15 bucks (or maybe less if you are lucky) it was well worth your money.
Brothers in Arms is one of the most original and challenging First Person Shooters I have ever played
Also have to give a shout out to XIII for its pure originality

Ah yes, XIII. It was heavily underrated and under-appreciated. To be fair, the gameplay was pretty old-school, but there were a few cool features, like using objects such as chairs, crates etc. to kill enemies with by crushign them over the head or throwing it at them. It was also cool how you could "take hostages" and use them as some sort of human shield. The coolest thing about the game was its styl3 though. The cool film-noir story, the cel-shading, and not to forget the comic panels in the cutscenes and those chonk-chonk-chonk screenshots when you scored a headshot with a knife or a sniper. Its definately a cool game, but the multiplayer is boring.
Halo 2 has to be the best first person shooter for the xbox. The weapons and levels are just awesome. Half-life 2 would be my favorite if it just had multiplayer in it.
