I'm a pretty new Xbox owner, and am going to Gamestop tomorrow to pick up a couple of games. I only have Halo 1+2 and Ninja Gaiden Black right now. I enjoy almost any type of game, but my favorites tend to be RPGs. I'm thinking I might go with KOTOR and Crimson Skies, but any other suggestions would be welcome. Forza and Morrowind also look good, so feedback on those two would be great. I will likely get 2 games, but could get 3.
Crimson Skies is a must have, I would also recommend Fahrenheit as well (think in USA it is called something different.) Lots and lots of games for you to play, and fortunatly they are all really really cheap at the moment as well.
Half-Life 2 if you haven't played the PC version yet and Far Cry: Instincts are both the best FPS for the Xbox.
Darkwatch is a western/gothic shooter with ragdoll psychics and amazing gore effects, FlatOut is a great demolition derby/rally game, Destroy All Humans (2)! is also a great freeroaming game, basicly GTA but with funny weapons and ragdoll psychics.
 GTA:SA ofcourse, Unreal Championship 2 is a great game, Alien Hominid is pretty cool and addictive.
Both KOTOR games and Crimson Skies are all great games. Forza is probably the best racer I've ever played. Far Cry Instincts is also awesome. Also I would recommend Mechassault, both Unreal Championship games, Deus Ex Invisible War, Dead Or Alive 3, and Dead Or Alive Ultimate. There are a ton of other great Xbox games out there right now and you can find them REALLY cheap. Hell I just bought 3 games on sunday for $8!
I personally didn't like Crimson Skies. KOTOR was wonderful though. Easily the best Xbox game that I played. If you enjoy that type of game I would also recommend getting Jade Empire.

FYI, GameStop has a special right now that I've been taking advantage of: Buy 2 used games get 1 free. Some stores don't have any signs up promoting the sale, but I believe they all participate.
If you want a good multiplayer game than most of those are good choices but there are some other choices that I am suprised no one mentioned. Conker live and reloaded would be a good choice but you may hate the pacing in the game but the graphics and humour make up for it. Chronicles of riddick is the best game on xbox in my opinion but you might only get 12 hours at most from it, but those 12 hours are action packed. It is the best looking game on xbox in my opinion and it has great voice overs and nice gameplay. I'm suprised no one mentoned it at all. however it was a sleeper hit because everyone hated the movie(i liked it though):?
I recommend that you get Morrowind GOTY edition and Kotor. They are both really great games. Morrowind has really cool quests and the story is good also. It's a long game with really awesome environments, you won't regret buying it. As for Kotor, the gameplay is awesome and I love tearing new ones in the dark jedi. =D It has an exellent story as well. You can pick between the darkside and the lightside which is a cool feature. These are two terrific RPGs that you should really keep in mind.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (If you have live, if not I wouldn't bother), Manhunt (I still play this game way more than I should lol), Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, Forza Motorsports, Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition Remix, Morrowind, and Fable: The Lost Chapters (Short but sweet).
