hi everyone

i just got 2 games (ninja gaiden and ninja gaiden black) - not with the original coating on the discs, so what happens is i try them both and they both appear to be the exact same thing to me. i haven't played either of them for long. but i wanted to know if i got 2 copies of the same game instead? do ninja gaiden 1 and 2 start with the same decor - near the outer cascade and i have to climb up, hit some folks and then balance off into the underground tunnel entrance...? is there is a sure fire way to know which is which? thanks for helping out an xbox newbie.

Ninja Gaiden and NG Black are the same game. Ninja Gaiden Black has a few extras. But still same game.

wouldn't NINJA GAIDEN AFRICAN AMERICAN be more politically correct?

Chronology: Ninja Gaiden was released and did well. They then released the same game again with a few extras and called it Ninja Gaiden Black. With the next generation of consoles, they polished the graphics and added a little extra here and there and called it Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

So, they have released what is basically the same game three times now.

And black is the best of the 3. less bugs, all ryu and the best technical graphics. (For the system its on)

"not with the original coating on the discs" ????? Wha? Why would you buy a game that doesnt have an original label on the disc? How hard is it for somebody to not destroy the top side of the disc? I've seen NG for like 7.00 used too, so theres no reason to buy the game w/o the original label and original case if you ask me.

I havent played NGB, so i dont know if it starts up any different than NG. Howeever I DO know that there is some extra content on NGB, but you still play the same story.

You too huh. If it makes you feel any better NGB has an easy setting that makes it actually more fun to begin with. And there are some original game bonuses in one that aren't in the other. But for the most part it's a marketing pile of doodoo. And definitely don't get Ninja Gaiden Sigma ...
