People say XBOX is dead?

Hey whats up everyone. I am new to this forum, just joined yesterday but I have found it very useful and informative. I have read that alot of people think XBOX is dead. Is this true? I just bought one used recently off my brother who got himself a 360 and didnt need the original xbox any longer. I have been a Ps2 guy for some time now...but bought it from him to check it out. The reason I ask about the dead topic, is because I went to walmart to pick up a new controller for the xbox and they didnt have any. In fact they didnt have anything for the xbox besides games. They had a bunch of stuff for 360 and ps2 and gamecube but no regular xbox. sucks!!!! I noticed that bestbuy.com and similar websites , it the same thing. Is microsoft not producing the accessories and systems anymore?

xbox is dead they are bringing no more games out for it. I was really sad when i heard the news but we will have to cope

I didn't know they stopped producing accessories for the Xbox. That just goes to show you how cheap Microsoft is. They force you to give up a system you love and make you buy a newer, more expensive system, just to make an extra dollar.

What if Sony fans had to do that for the PS2? Would they have to give in to the $600 price tag?

true true....I like that fact that Ps2 is still coming out with games...good ones too. I checked gamestop.com for recent new releases on xbox and they last game that came out was like in november I think. Crazy!!! Ps2 has stuff coming out every month!!! I guess its pure econimics. I read somewhere on here that ps2 is still the best selling system , so it makes sense that they would keep coming out with games right?southerndownfan

Well, of course the PS2 is the most selling system. Xbox is more orientated towards hardcore players while GameCube is more child based. The PS2 has something for everybody.

No matter how dead it get's I will probably neer stop playing it while I have my XBox. I am one of those action gamers that could play with my friends for hours and hours non stop. I mean, they can still come out with way better games than they have they just want us to buy something more expensive. But you know what, I bet you it will still work. I have also noticed at a lot of places XBox games are on sale and have good deals. Well I don't know I love XBox so much! I will probably buy an 360 down the road, anyways good point. Thanks,

Oh, it's very dead. No more games are coming out on it anymore. Even the X-box section of this site is dead. You can still get on X-box live on the old X-box, but not many people play things other than Halo 2.vashkey

Yeah, I just noticed that today. The Xbox section is gone and I think they call the Xbox Newsletter the Xbox 360 Newsletter.

i also plan to buy a refurbished xbox for a change cause i've been a ps2 user for a long time but i noticed that are nonew games being released for the xbox. i also noticed that the xbox section in some other sites are dead. but i still think that the xbox is cool and fun to play even if there are no new games for it. maybe there will be games released for the xbox but not so many like last time. (i hope)
