I want an old-west shooter and these seem to be the two to choose from (and both happen to be only $7.99 used.) All the reviews rate Gun a little higher than Red Dead but I can't shake my intuition to go for Red Dead. It seems like it has more style and better environments than Gun based on the videos I've watched. Anyone have any pros/cons for either game?
Get GUN, its so much better than RDR. RDR is like Wild Wild West if it was a crappy game. Gun has some good, somewhat over the top characters, but still contains realism. And it has good sidequests, and great combat. Both are a little short, but GUN is so much better.
RDR is better, it has better gameplay, story, boss fights, and a cool dueling system.
The multiplayer good also, you can get a lot of fun out of it.
Gun is very average at best, the only thing Gun had over RDR was free roaming but lets be honest its so shallow it, there's no point even adding it, they should of put more time making the main missions better.
It seems from what I've seen and read RDR has more stylistic presentation with an old t.v. western feel and screen filters to add to this presentation. True? RDR seems to have a duck-and-cover system and a more intense close-quarters combat feel in towns and such. True? Does Gun have a duck-and-cover system of any kind? The vids I've seen of Gun seem to be just running and gunning in open environments.
Get Gun man. I am telling you. Gun is one of the best games I have ever played. It is awsome. The storyline is crazy good and the gameplay is awsome too. Do not pass this game up. Get Gun.
If u like multiplayer get Red dead revolver....plus the story is way big compared to Gun ( guns short )....Rdr is one of the most amazing games ive ever played....ive beat them both...plz if u want a good story an a good long game get rdr..awsome
