Hi there I got a X-box game However  I dont want to buy a X-box. My Computer has more processing power then the Xbox.

Why spend the money buying a xbox when my computer has the DVD drive,Its got a nice CPU, nice graphic card.

What Software do I need for this.

The next bit of Question is how to put a USB port on the X-box controler and to get it to work on my PC.

Some asked that same Question to how to run X-box games to work on Windows based PC. on Yahoo's

Forums The answer was to go Xbpx.com. Wrong answer. www.xbox.com is to look up games and to have the X-box system to get serviced. Then I do a search on there forums and nothing showed up. Windows XP  or Vista is not a licenced X-box product.

So Xbox.com put a lock on that.

any one can help please.

you are not going to be emulating any xbox games on your pc for a long while. As a general rule you need a system at least 10-20 times the power to emulate any thing very well. Also the xbox is a very complaceted console, and it would take a very long while to write a good emulator.

Ive encountered 2 xbox emulators, one of them claiming to have run halo, but I dont see how it is possible to emulate an xbox game on pc at the moment. Its just too hard. I believe the method involves making an xbox iso with the extension .xbe. But its confusing and not worth the effort Just buy an xbox, they arent expensive.

Actually it would be considerably easier to write a Xbox emulator for the PC.  The Xbox shares very similar architecture to a PC.  The Orginal Xbox contained a modified Pentium III which would be simple to emulate since modern pc's still use Intel based Processors (AMD works in the same way).  After all its possible to play some of your old pc games on a new PC that at the time utilised a PII or PIII processor.

The reason the BC on the 360 is so difficult is because the 360 uses a IBMPowerPC processor, which has to be instructed how to run x86 code.

There have only been a couple of emulators for the pc, one of which could run Halo, although very Poorly.  They were merely a 'proof of concept' and have since been discontinued.  Hmm... I wonder who put a stop to that?

I doubt your going to see a Xbox Emultor on the PC for quite some time.

You can play other computers and consoles of old on your PC.  I have a Sega Mega Drive emulator (you may know it as the Genisis), A Snes, an N64, Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga (all models).

My favourite is my PSone Emu, its called ePSXe and it plays 99% of all PSOne games.  The emulator can even run them at 1280x1024 (something the PS2 and PS3 can't do.
