how about this one , why upgrade to somthing that only lasts 6 months at most , ive upgraded and i aint happy , 2 360s down and many to go , 2nd 360 sending for repairs the first i replaced all together , as they say 3rds the charm but ill have to wait and see

i dont have one because i dont have enough money yet and im waiting till i graduate this year to get graduation money and buy one. oh and im graduating from iddle school not high school lol.
Truthfully, I don't think the new systems are a huge improvement over "sixth generation" systems (XBox, PS2 etc.). They're cool, and i'll get one of them, or maybe all of them, in the future. But right now, the huge price tags aren't worth the little improvement in graphics.Â
It used to be, when the new generations came out, they'd be a HUGE improvement. Now, not so much. Have video game consoles come close to reaching their peak, do you think?
I had one, but once I beat 3-5 good games the system had (even though it was out for over a year), it started to collect dust, so I sold it and enjoying xbox now. I'll pick it up again in a year or so.
There are still a lot of really good games for Xbox 1 that may or may not be backwards compatible. Coupled with that is the fact that I almost never ever buy new games. Right now, I can get good Xbox 1 games from EB Games for around $10 a piece, which is theoretically six times the gaming goodness than the 'next'-gen systems. I hope to eventually get all three (Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), but I'll probably get GameCube and PlayStation 2 before that.
I pre-ordered a 360 6 months before launch and I went into Gamestop and I didn't get one. So I said frack it and glad I did. I can wait for the better 360 that runs cooler.
I only got my first console (xbox) about 18 months ago. I am still working through the back catalogue of good (and now very cheap) games. Several of my friends have bought 360's and, impressed though I am by the graphics, I don't really see a huge difference from current generation games. My first thoughts on playing GRAW, COD2, GeoW and FIFA on the 360 was that the graphics (and animation) were really great but there was nothing new in terms of gameplay.
In short I reckon I have another year of fun left in the xbox and by then the 360 and games will be quite a bit cheaper than they are now. The only thing that could change my mind would be Halo 3, but only if it is really good.
still loving my XBOX and I've waited this long, I might as well wait for the next gen of consoles which will be insane. The only reasons I would get a 360 is if HALO 3 is not compatible on the next gen sys for MS and there are enough other games that are only on the 360 that warrant its purchase.Â
right now, i'm just gonna let MS work out all the bugs still in the 360, and enjoy $10 games.Â

want one, but it's just too pricey and seems pretty unreliable (though i know people who have had no problems)
$499 canadian (+ tax =Â about $570) is a bit much. but i'm hoping on a price drop soon, it's hard to wait. been looking on ebay, but i just dont trust it. i'll get it and it'll break in a month or something..
The best time to buy a console is when the next gen is coming out. I just got a regular XBOX and a PS2. Now I can enjoy all the best games at used prices. The cheapest way to go. Buy technology when it's 5 years old!!! Right now all this hi-def stuff is a freakin' waste of money.
Games are way more expensive for 360. Graphics are only a bit improved. I don't have time for online gaming which almost seems like it is mandatory now a days.
I don't have a HDTV to take advantage of the 360. Newer 360 versions are coming eventually that will use less energy, are less hot and have quieter drives. Early adopters usually get screwed anyways...
I figured why waste my money on expensive next gen's when there are still good games out there for the old systems. Up until last weekend, I was only a PS2 owner with 85 games...Then I decided to buy a used Xbox and the few good games that didn't come out for PS2, Like Halo 1 and 2, Half Life 2, Sid Meyers Pirates, Fable, Ninja Gaiden Black, Chronicles of Riddick etc...It's like buying a next gen because these are great games with nice graphics and gameplay, but I don't have to pay the big bucks for it. Honestly, I'm holding out for PS3, but won't pay close to what they're asking and there's just not a big enough line up on games for it yet.
i dont see the difference between xbox and xbox 360 other then you can go online but you can do that with xbox live so.. and all the are pretty much the same as the xbox ones or the major ones come out on xbox any way and the thing is 2 expensive
I have yet to upgrade because I feel the price is a little too high at this time and also the ps2 and the xbox still has a lot of great games left out there. Until there are no good games out there then it would be time to upgrade.
