Do you think that eventually XBL will change its pricing structure to compete with PSN being free? I doubt they want to get rid of the cash cow, and I don't think the really should. However, what if they added on perks for paying. I really ythink that eventuall you'll be able to play games online for free, but Gold membership will have different options, like you could have gamer gold and video gold. Gamer gold bsically lets you access full versions arcade games 2-3 at a time and video gold lets you rent some amount of tv shows and movies each month.

Not for those of us who use the Xbox because we don't have a 360... It's pretty much a next gen thing...

Downloads on xbox live are faster and dont install for 20 minutes and the internet browser is cumbersome at best

If sony can step up their Servace then eventually to compete MS will either have to create some super awesome upgrades or stop charging

Well, the PS2 having free online didn't affect Xbox Live...

So I would have to say no?

live isn't that expensive and works much better than anything sony had for online support. At least with live you don't worry about dropped support for a game. I'm still mad there is no more support for MGS3 and RE:outbreak on the PS2 online anymore. That's probably the trend with playstation games as they get older since you're not paying.

I think they should make Xbox Live free for those using the Xbox 1...

Yep i'd agree with that.It would give new online users a small taste of how good XBox Live is+probrably encourage them to go onto a 360 later.

Exactly. Why do people cry and complain about it so much. It's not even the price of a game, and it lasts all year. If PSN ever got all the features of XBL then they'd probably start charging for it. Think about it. The system was 600 bucks. If they thought they could compete with Live, then they'd charge for it.

Because $50 is still $50... And not all of us have the money to spend such an amount at one time...

muthsera...I found that you can buy 2 month memberships for original xbox. I just bought one last night on ebay and it was $7-8. That should be reasonable enough for you.

You can pay montly. And you realize that games cost 60, right? What do you do when you buy games? Pay 5 bucks a month until it's payed off?

I buy games for no more than $10 anymore. Games for the Xbox don't cost $60 unless they are really rare. So, no. I pay $5, and it's paid off. There's no waiting. Not everyone is current-gen. Some of us can't afford it. Kind of like I just said...

I played my first game on XBOX live last night. Out of 10 games that are onlinve enabled, only one had anyone playing on it...CoD2:Big Red One. I had a good time, and all, but unless I can get more games working online, it won;t be worth it. I REALLY wanna play Project Snowblind online, and Battle Field 2 MC
