Xbox and 360 prices, Why is the difference so big?

I have owned both the xbox and the 360, and i cannot see where the extra 200 pound goes (about $270 i think??), I think microsoft are overcharging people for the 360, maybe there is something that i havent noticed about the 360, can someone tell me why the 360 is so much more?Mr_Blonde_91

dude this is a joke right the xbox has been out like 4,5 years and is outdatted and the 360 cost alot because its new and has better(not outdatted) technologymastershake575

Why? because it uses DirectX 9. we have 10 now (even though not beying used)

uses a video card thats like an X1900XT with 256MB GDDR3 (they shoulda put 512 cause 512 is more mainstream now)

Xbox360 has 512mb of SHARED ram.  The PS3 has 256 for video and then another 256 for the system ram.  That's a total of 512.
