Xbox Live Problems

Ok, so i get on to Xbox live, and say i go on halo3

i go on match making, start a game, w.e.. but den wen it iz about to start i lose connection to game and internet
i think it is the modem, i recently got a Wireless modem, but i still connect the Ethernet cord in the back of it
it seems to go slower, and it is pure crap. I am calling microsoft on monday.
but i went here to see if anyone knows how i can fix this or at least make it better

P.S. I GOT GOLD, so dont say i have silver -_-
++P.S. - Im not buyin dat piece of crap wireless adapter for $100

Try running it directly with a cable and see if it changes. If it does, then tada... it's your wireless causing the problem.

And just so you know, this kind of belongs in the 360 forum since this is the Original Xbox forum.
