100k MS points :o

Well the grand prize for Microsoft's giveaway is an Xbox Elite, something else, and get this...100,000 Microsoft points. I nearly fainted when I saw this, but then I got to thinking...it's hard for me to find something good worth 800 points, how would anyone spend 100k points?!?! I mean that's basically saying you can get all of the halfway decent arcade games there is and still have enough points to buy almost every episode of T.V. they have, then rent every movie there is avalible. That's one of the coolest grand prizes i've ever seen for any givaway..so my question is, what would you buy if you won? It's roughly 125 thousand dollars worth of microsoft points..lol.

I would get all the map packs and extra downloads for the games I own, then I would prolly change my gamertag a few times, then look through the arcade games, downloading whichever ones looked interesting, then buy the full seasons of my favorite tv shows. Maybe then I might run low on points :P

The thing is that if someone outside the US wins the points, there isn't 100,000 points worth of stuff to buy - there are virtually no TV shows or music, and a very limited selection of films. That leaves XBLA games, most of which are crap, then themes, gamerpics and DLC map packs.

You can guarantee that the points will just be added to the persons gamertag rather than giving them say 50 x 2000 points cards so they could sell them.

And for people in the UK - If 2100 MS points cost £17.99, then 100,000 points are worth roughly £857

Lol, I was thinking the same thing. I've had 500 points expire on me before, and I felt ripped. Imagine 99,000! Anyway, there isn't even enough content on the Canadian Marketplace worth purchasing.

lol yeah $20.00 / 1600 [/=] 125000000

to find the dollar vaule divide 1600 by 20, which gives you the dollar amount per point then multiply that by 100,000

so lets do the match 20.00/1600 = $.0125 x100,00 (number of points awarded) = $1250 so a little short of the 1.25 mil mark :D:D
