I've bought myself a full hd panasanic lcdTX-37LZD70F, but now I'm having troubles with the settings on my 360. 720p setting with the components is no problem, but I can't pick the 1080 p resolution. Do I have to get another set of cables?

Does your TV support 1080p? Does the game support it?

Do you have the 1080p patch? Might want to check out Microsoft Technical support if you have - I've never had that problem.

Do I have to download a specific patch or is it an automatic update?

Do you have your 360 hooked up with composite cables? If so then you must check to see if your television will allow a 1080p signal through composite cables (most do not I think the only one is Samsung and only certain models). If this is true then your only option is to go VGA for 1080p or settle with 1080i. You could always get a new 360 with hdmi as well. Hope this helps.

If your TV doesn't support 1080p then it wont allow for the signal to come through.

Automatic system update. Just need to be connected to live. If it doesn't update force it through options menu.

I know my TV (Toshiba) only supprts the higher resolutions through HDMI cables, and not component. Could be the same with yours.
