Not sure if I landed the right title but I currently own a Samsung 27" 1080i/720p lcd hdtv. With the news of the Elite and the hdmi input and cables would this effect myself and other owners with these sets? I was under the impression that the 1080p sets had the most to gain? thanks.

Yeah, you're right. You'll get some improvement, but nothing drastic. And even 1080p capable tvs need to be at least 46' for it to be a "noticeable" difference. That's my experience with the PS3.

You won't notice much and it is not worth the price atm, if you upgrade later in the next year then get it.
