I'm going to get the Elite version of the 360 when it launches (if it doesn't get immediatley sold out) and I was just wondering, can the 360 do 1080p? I'm only asking because I juse bought a HDTV, and I wanted to know if it would still look good.

Every 360 can do 1080p, not just the Elite.

the normal 360's can run in 1080p you can play your games in 1080p through component or vga, and you can watch your movies and games in 1080p if  your tv has a vga port. but with the elite you can  watch your movies and games in 1080p  through  vga or hdmi, and play your  games in 1080p  through component hdmi or vga

Yeah, its 61". There's not really that much of a point in getting 1080p if its any less than 50"

Your TV doesn't need to be 42" or longer, that's a myth. There's 1080p TVs and monitors out there that are only 24" big.

It doesn't NEED to be larger than 42", but if you're willing to spend the extra moneh on a 1080p set, you probably want to see the difference, and the difference is MOST visible on the larger sets. If you have like a 50"-72" you should be able to see the diff between 720 and 1080Â
