Does anyone else experience game stutters/lag when using component cables in 1080P? I haven't tried using 720P yet, but I was playing Halo 3 yesterday and it would stutter quite a bit. I am sure it shouldn't do that and disc is clean and in great condition. Maybe the 360 is having an issue?

Is this single player? And I would normally suggest installing the game to the hard drive but Halo 3 actually works better not installing.

Yeah, it is single player. It isn't just Halo 3 either, but I used that as an example because Halo games usually run rather smooth.

Arg, I was hoping I wouldn't see this response. Now I am worried about the condition on my console :(

It could easily be a problem your 360 or it could also be an issue with how your tv downscales if its a 720p set (it would would state a resolution of 1366x768 on its spec sheet). You see games on the 360 are only developed in 720p, and some tvs only have the ability to display up to that but can downscale a 1080p input from sources such as your xbox to make it playable. However some tvs dont do it particularly brilliantly so if youre using a 720p tv then that might be your problem.

Try reducing the 360's resolution to 720p

Yes I was having exactly the same issue on Fable 2, with 1080p through component on a sony bravia 42", I switched it to 1080i which seemed to resolve it!

Probably the t.v.....if your t.v. doesn't support 1080p and you try to put it on 1080p it will probably look strange.
