yes, im paranoid enough to ask this.... i just checked out the dimensions of the 360, and checked out my entertainment centre. if i put the 360 in there, it'll have 5cm on each side, and a huge space at the back for ventilation. there willbe no other units around the 360 btw, just one on a shelf above it. this should be enough to prevent over heating right? btw: can i plug in my 360 to an extension cord [power strip?]

thanks!

Straight into the wall sockter is probably better although I have it on a power strip as well... It should be enough if the back isn't closed (like against the wall)

ur better off getting a good surge prtector for like 30 bucks (wat i did). cyberpower makes good ones. i wouldn't plug it into a cheap power strip.

if u find ur xbox getting really hot around it, remove it from that spot into a more open spot

I would definitely recommend using a power strip or some sort of surge protector. That an expensive piece of hardware to just plug into the wall and let lightning or power surges do what they may. As far as ventilation. If there is any question why not just get one of the Nyko intercollers that fits on the back. They are only like 20 bucks and I play for hours and have not had any problemgoing ona year and a half.

i don;t want to get into another conversation like in another thread. jst listen: don't get the intercooler. it doesn't help and it sucks power from the console. if anything, get the pelican stand fan.

Well Depending on if the xbox is laying on its side or standing up he may not have room for the fan stand.. Like I said I have been using the intercoller for a year and a half with HD enabled and all and have had no problems what so ever
