I am currently on a 20G hard drive and I am getting a 120G. OK so when you recover your Xbox Live Gamertag. Will it automatically download all of your downloaded content? Or do you have to do everything manually? I'm just a bit confused how to get all of my stuff back.

It comes with a trasfer cable, so you can transfer everything over to it, including your gamer tags.

Ya I want a 120g hard drive also, can it be done without a transfer cable? recovering the gamertag to me seems like a safer way unless you never sign into xbox live then I guess the transfer cable would be your only option. But what about if you have a live account can you just recover your gamertag on a new 120g hdd? That would be great cause when I recovered my gamertag on my new 360's 20g it recovered my saved games and achievements as well along with my played arcade games. Only one demo was missing but I never played that so I didn't care.

oh ok cause I thought it would be the same thing as a 20g hard drive. When I bought my new 360 a month ago I turned it on for the first time and it asked me if I wanted to recover my gamertag which I did and everything was a success. So I thought it would do the same thing if I put a 120g hard drive on my 360 and it would ask me to enter country, etc and then ask me if I wanted to migrate my xbox live account just like how I did with the 20g. Is the 120g built that differently that you can't recover your gamertag on it or something? I know it's the lazy and noob way to go for me but it did work fine on the 20g. My question is why wouldn't recovering gamertag work on a 120g if you wanna recover it from a 20g?
