12-5-07 good for a while?

today i got rrod on my 360. i've had my 360 for 5 months i got it. when i bought it on august i bought insurance for it so if i got rrod i can switch for a new 360. this one had date of 12-5-07 i was woundering if it would last longer?

i keep my 360 on a table thats wood and glass. i was at my friends house when it did it, that time it was on carpet. i'm kind of thinking it was because it was on carpet last night it was on for like 15 hours.

dunno bro i have mine on carpet under my tv cabinet and i got rrod but not for like 20 months? my new ones under there and its working like a charm? it was probably just ur other one on the way out anyway?

You should never put a videogame console on carpet.

And why would someone put the 360 back in the box? Sounds like your trying to hard to appear to of taken care of it...Shrug.

The newer 360's started coming out in septemberish, they seem to not break as much, but have only been on the market for a few months...

Only seen one come back lately to my store, and it was due to abuse.
