Im down to 5.8 gigs and ive only been downloading game addons. Really. So when you buy a 60 or a 120 hardrive, do they come with a transfer cable? Is it easy to erase your data while copying? Do you have to copy all your date manually?

Well I haven't done it myself, but I'm fairly certain you'll get a transfer cable, and then from there you just... transfer your data and it's done.

When I bought my Elite, I had to transfer data from my 20GB harddrive. I just used a memory card and it worked fine.

I went from 20 to 60 and while I do think the deal for the 60gb is a good one I found out recently that 120 is what more serious gamers would need. But it depends on your play style. I currently have Fallout 3, Fable 2, CoDWaW, Forza 2 and UFC all on my hdd because I sometimes go back and forth from most of them all week. If you don't plan on doing this 60 will be just fine, if you might be more like me than 120 is highly recommended. Plus some of these expansions are getting to be really big files I'm looking at you Lost and Damned. 60 does not come with a transfer cable though, I used a memory card.

Let's be honest since M$ won't. You want a 53GB HDD or a 113GB HDD:)

If you you want a transfer cable call 18004myxbox and request your FREE transfer cable. That's what I did.

Just your saves. Everything else can just be re downloaded from live at no extra cost. It is a little lame but I here cables are on Ebay for cheap.

your buying an arcade upgrade pack for the 60gb. so really you shouldnt have a hard drive in the first place. its only the 120gb hd that comes with it. but its best value due to the 3 months live and head set u get as well but all u have to do is phone ms when u get it and they send one out for free i got mine within like 3 days of calling. and then sold it on ebay after using it to people who buy them for 25 pounds buy it now. i dont understand why people think ebay will be quicker than ms coz ur paying loads for something for free but they sell well.

Please don't start the 53GB or 113GB thing and attribute it to M$...I'm sure you know that it is not them, that EVERY HDD seller does the same thing; Western Dig, Seagate, etc will all say 500, 750 GB while only being ~470 or ~700. It has NOTHING to do with M$, just the way capacity is measured on any HDD.

On the main topic, yes, as it's been said you just call M$ and tell them you upgraded and that you need a transfer kit. I believe I got mine in either 2-3 days. Works perfect, was on the phone for maybe 5 minutes...
