To be honest i wouldn't get it yet it has potential but that could go wrong with just one mistake if i was you i would wait to see how it unfolds.I'm going to buy it. My little sister's enjoyed what they saw in the MS showcase.

Considering what a huge move Kinect is for MS, they really should have entered the market with a pricetag of 99 quid or less, especially when you take into account the competition from the Wii and the Move...
Anti-Kinect fans are probably wetting their pants at this news...Its too high for the possible customers who might just settle for a Wii and too high for even core gamers who " might give it a shot " for 99 dollars/euros/pounds..150 dollars seems a bit extravagant and I really feel MS made a mistake with it( if the pricetag is indeed correct )
For 99 dollars they may have snagged a lot of potential Move buyers which definetley would have been the more expensive option
Leave it to those greedy bastards at MS...

It's not 150 dollars
balfe1990
How do you know that?
I'm only saying it because a few of the retailers did ( Gamestop, Amazon etc.) and they usually get it spot on...
If its not 150 quid thats brilliant but I really doubt it from Bill Gates and Co.
Straight from Amazon's site (on others too)
"Official pricing and release date have not been announced by the publisher. These are estimates only and subject to change."

Right so its probably 150 dollars..I mean, of course have to say that the prices are subject to change, they'd do that for any regular game that was for preorder.. But in my experience, 99 times out of 100, the prices quoted are correct and all that legal mumbo-jumbo is just a formality...
Contrary to how I sound, I actually do want Kinect to be cheap though!:P
Whether the price is official or not, given the ridiculous prices of peripherals like their wireless internet adapters, they won't have the foresight to price Kinect for who they're targeting with these games. Most of those potential customers probably have a Wii already anyways. Kojo222
The people they're targeting spent 340 dollars just to play one game
if it is 150 bucks than i prabably won't get it. I don't think it's too expensive seeing as it has the motion control and voice tech in it and seems extremely smooth, but for a college student i can't see my self forking over $150 when i can spend it on food and other stuff lol. I do hope Kinect is as advertised though because that demo they put on at the conference made it seems extremely fluid.
I dont have PS3 but the move looks WAY better than Kinect and its 1/3 cheaper than Kinect. Microsoft needs to put Kinect @ $100 at the most
I buy everything (My gamertag is PerfectConsumer lol) so I'm getting it. But for that price, without a bundled game it feels like robbery. And considering the games they do have are all $60, it just feels like everything is over priced. Except the new Slim 360... that's the only price that seems reasonable.donalbaneI'm sure it comes with some sort of starter game or games...Otherwise, what's the point?

You would think, but damn... wouldn't they have mentioned that? I sure would have. I hope you are right. For $150 it should come with Milo and the Rare sports game.

Well my main concern is to have a great remote control for the 360 so I don't mind if it comes with a game, it would be nice but ehhhh not a big deal
I mean so far everything is uber casual and that's planned but I'm not that kind of player, but when something comes by that does catch my eye I'll already have all the hardware I need
Where are you getting 1/3 cheaper? It's $100 for the eye toy and wand combo. You have to buy a sub controller separate and some of the games in the mini-game sports title (which is bundled with the eye-toy/wand combo) need two wands.I dont have PS3 but the move looks WAY better than Kinect and its 1/3 cheaper than Kinect. So far I'm not happy with two things:
1) The game line up seems to be aimed at a very young audience so far, which disappoints me immensely.
2) It seems to me that it wasn't designed to do anything but be for the casual audience in the first place. Put it this way, I wont be purchasing Kinect anytime soon untill MS prove it can actually be used on core games.

Star Wars and Forza looked OK... but I agree... casual central at launch.I think if they release Kinect at $150, and the games at $60 it's going to fail all over the place. Yeah sure some people will buy it, and the technology is good, but if they are trying to compete with the Wii, at least the games need to be priced like the Wii ($29-$49 new).
Even MS said before that they had to get Natal at a price point under $100 for it to be successful. Now all of a sudden greed kicks in and they want to charge the same price as an Arcade? Who is going to pay $300 just to get into gaming if they don't already own an Xbox?
I suspect the $150 and $60 price tags are just to test the water, but hopefully they don't shoot themselves in the foot by keeping the prices that high for too long.
The 150 is a speculated price by the market. And I wouldn't guess it being more than 100. It'll probably be 100 flat, though my hope-guess is more like 70.
