2 Red Lights????

Last saturday my xbox was on practically the whole day and then at like 7:30 my brother got these 2 red light, and told me from the other room "we just got the 3RROD" but when I saw it i thought no thats not it, maby it might be cause it got heated up too much from being played. Well, this happened twice with the same kind of playing, but today after playing for a little bit and then coming back and hour later and then playing for about an hour it came on again. After I get these two little red lights I can unplug the xbox and plug it back in and its fine for about five to ten minutes but then the lights are back, but if I leave the xbox off for about an hour then come back it doesn't come back for a while, or at least it didn't till today. So what is this? Do I gotta send the box off or what?

P.S. My friend said it could be something to do with the memory harddrive and I have to clear the cache or something.
