I'm of the opinion that it's better to have too much than not enough. You might decide to load music onto the hard drive in the future. All 360 games allow you to listen to music on the hard drive while playing games. Also expansion packs, map packs, demo's etc they all take up quite a lot of space.
Even saves take a lot of space. It's over 5mb for a single save on some games. I have over 80mb of saves for The Orange Box alone. You might not think it now but once you've had your 360 for a while you might want to use all its features. You'd have to go some to fill the 120GB hard drive but the 20GB fills up very fast. I'd only recommend the 20GB if you're the type of gamer who only owns around five games at any one time and only uses the hard drive for saves.
I just sold my Premium yesterday and bought an Elite. I just started buying movies from the movie store and I got sick of having to delete things from my 20gb hard drive to make space for movies. I had to delete all my Oblivion expansions and the Halo 3 map pack among other things to make room.
what size memory does the premium come with....for some reason with nothing on it mine came with 13.9 i now have used 1.7 gb shouldnt it be 18.3 gb?jimmyobo
there's a lot of crap that comes on the hard drive such as videos and trailers and maybe a few other things you can delete. even in the end, you won't get exactly 20 gigs, but i still find the amount of space very comfortable even with my music on there.
If spending some exrta money is not too much for you i would defenetly go with the Elite
you never know if in 3 years you might need more storage since digital content is getting more and more important
BUt obviously if you need the extra money and you don;t feel like you will need the space then get a pro.
I don;t think anybody can really answer for you.
I'd go elite though
